July 7, 2016. Review: Me Ne Frego. Oh Italy, how I miss thee. I was stoked as to discover Divino Bistro a little while ago, a surprisingly great Italian eatery on the border of Parnell and the CBD. Only problem is it serves a certain market, I suppose, and isn’t open on weekends. But I now have another goodie to add to the list, one that IS open every day and with a bit more atmosphere. Gallingly, it’s just around the corner from where I used to live a few years ago! The seafood spaghetti was solid, thou...

Ventimiglia Alta words from the ramparts and beyond. Proofreader and Copy Editor. Last week, even before winter had officially begun, Auckland woke up to its coldest day in 40 years. We know this fact thanks to weather stations like the one in Albert Park in the city centre. I was in the park on that remarkably cold day, and stopped to admire this gorgeous weather vane. Century an army barracks. In fact the army began recording the colony’s weather on this same site as early as 1854. Century Auckland jou...

Food and fun around New Zealand. Cool coins from The Cook Islands. Posted by Steven and Gaby at 09:51. Kaikoura, New Zealand. The beach is home to many southern fur seals, some of whom like to sleep on patches of seaweed. I think this may be a seal skull. These birds are shags. Food and fun around New Zealand. I'm Leaving, On A Jet Plane. We began the process of packing for our move during Christmas, 2005. After a little over a month of hard work itemizing and packing all of our belongings, the movers came to our apartment in Pasadena and picked up all of our boxes, plus our bikes, and loaded them into a moving van. The bikes will be shipped separately. We both have tickets in hand and our plane leaves for Rarotonga on Sunday, February 12th, at 10:30 PM. Salazar and Willie and ...
