We travelled up to Warrington to fish for Pike this weekend, at a venue called Longbarn pool or "the brick pits" as it is know locally. It is a small water set between a housing estate and a main road, at only 4ft at its deepest with lots of islands, over hanging trees and reed beds, it has some great features to fish to. Mike has put up the result on the Salford Friendly Anglers blog. Pool A nice little pool known to hold some good fish, and as we know from experience loads of Gudgeon. Liam fishing the waggler on peg 12, and was still struggling to catch despite his best efforts it just wasn't to be his day. There is a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot. Saturday, 25 February 2012. After not been able to get out fishing for a while due to work and frozen lakes I decided to book a day off and do a 24 hour trip to Founders on the Lymm card. I have only joined Lymm this year and this was my first trip out to one of their waters. Founders is a small water situated in the middle of a golf course but holds carp to the mid twenties. I must admit to nearly staying at home when I looked out at the weather (I wish I had) anyway I'll keep it short as usual, I blanked and Paul caught one just as we was packing up. And at last a fish!
