There's no skiing in Hyderabad, or most other places...: April 2005

There's no skiing in Hyderabad, or most other places. My international adventures and thoughts chronicled not very often. Saturday, April 23, 2005. There is also an intermission. Half way through the movie, it comes to a bumbling hault (any by that I mean it basically skips around a bunch), and then a really tacky slide made in 1983 comes on the screen that says, "Intermission.". There's no skiing in Hyderabad, or most other places. My international adventures and thoughts chronicled not very often. Friday, June 29, 2007. I have another first on this trip. I got a leech during my jungle trek in Cat Tien National Park. These were not the leeches that were in "Stand by Me," they were much smaller, and they moved very fast on the ground. We got some video, so I can show you at some point. Posted by Brian Katzman at 1:40 AM. Tuesday, June 26, 2007. Hello - Bye Bye. I have no dong.

Thursday, January 26, 2006. How could I forget about Thailand! After purusing my own blog (is that conceited or what? I realized I had completely forgotten to post some pictures from Thailand. Thailand is an amazing place. I was able to get a whole week off thanks to Diwali. So we planned to spend the most amount of time on a beach then explore Bangkok a little at the end. Salim did most of the planning. I just sat back and enjoyed the ride. Posted by Unknown at 4:30 AM. I'm back in India after a whirlwi...

Heather's Blog: November 2005
http://hah812.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 05, 2005. Mumbai was a last minute trip that Salim and I took. Mumbai is a huge, huge city that is completely polluted. Coming in on the airplane we saw miles of slums and layers of smog. The drive from the airport to our hotel was surprisingly civilized. I am beginning to truly believe Hyderabad is the craziest city to drive/travel by car in. This first picture is of the Gateway of India. This was were we caught a ferry to take us out to Elephanta Island. Posted by Unknown at 9:00 AM.

Sunday, April 24, 2005. We have about 5 drivers that take care of the expats here in Hyderabad. We call one person, Ismael, to organize a ride if we need it, and the drivers show up to take us where we need to go. It's fantastic, and very fortunate for us, because not only do they drive on the left side, but traffic rules seem to be completely optional. You just honk your horn until they move, or cross over the line into oncoming traffic to pass. It's good fun. Posted by Unknown at 8:36 PM. Our apartment...

Tuesday, June 14, 2005. Simon opens his eyes! Posted by Unknown at 6:07 AM. I just wanted to let you know that my sister had her baby on Sunday, June 12! It's a boy, and they named him Simon Porter. He was 7.12 lbs and 21 inches long. As you can see from the photos, boyfriend has a mess of hair! I can't believe he is finally here. I won't get to see him until Christmas (sad) but hopefully we will meet over the webcam soon. I hope he doesn't mind getting his first glimps of me on a computer screen.

There's no skiing in Hyderabad, or most other places. My international adventures and thoughts chronicled not very often. Sunday, May 01, 2005. From one office window, one can see an enormous structure being built by Dell, while a stones throw away, you can see an entire campus being built by Oracle. (Not nearly as cool as the round towers just south of San Francisco) Everyone is building. That's it for now. I am off to the pool. I hope this letter finds all of you happy and healthy. Monday, September 12, 2005. Saamra's Wine and Cheese party. It started out so innocently. We were all going to meet up at Saarma's apartment to celebrate her quarter of a century in a calm and adult-like fashion. The ladies had created quite a spread with various cheeses and breads. There was even some smoked salmon and pasta salad. Quite nice. Posted by Unknown at 9:24 PM. Sunday, September 11, 2005. Photographic Proof That I Left Hyderabad. Posted by Unknown at 4:44 AM.
