A Note From The Commander. Honoring Our WWII Veterans. November, 2nd 2013. The American Legion Family, along with many volunteers, embarked on a journey via bus from St.Kevin's in Springfield, Pa to Washington, DC to meet and honor surviving WWII veterans. During this trip we were fortunate enough to spend time with the vets by visiting the WWII Memorial, The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington Cemetery, and other Memorials. Trip sponsored by Honor Flight Philadelphia.

A Note From The Commander. Greetings, my fellow Sons. As we all know, membership is the lifeblood of our organization. We can all do a little or a lot to increase our numbers. I've heard it said that at 59,000 members, (the largest Detachment in the world! We have reached our "saturation point." I don't believe that is the case. About half of our Legion posts have Squadrons. Can we increase that percentage? I think so. Can we bring new members into our Squadrons? For God and Country.
