Tuesday, August 29, 2006. I had to crack the whip. Then they got to play with friends, and I got a cleaner house. Not a bad deal. ROFL I told Maddie she's going to have a tough time at Halloween, and she nodded and said "Tell me about it." Oh, Lordie, she's a pip. ;-). Wow, didn't mean to ramble so much about her, but it's nice to share lovely thoughts about your kids sometimes. In real life, you don't want to come off as bragging, so chatting about her here is cool. Her dress was 80's trashy. Weird.

Friday, May 05, 2006. I can't stand to look at the news anymore. I go through cycles where I'm so "news'ed" out that I withdraw and don't watch or read anything. I'm in one of those cycles now. I've buried myself in my writing and feel much more at peace. Sometimes I have to remind myself to focus on my family and my goals and let the world go on without me for awhile.
