In my (embarrassingly) naive youth I remember thinking about how when I became a mom I never wanted to let myself go. I heard horror of stories of people—usually women—who stopped caring about their appearance once they became parents. And let myself go. If choosing to ditch certain facial peels because of chemicals makes me that parent.
