Hercules Graphics - 另一個開始 (1995). 1995年的暑假的某一天, 不知道為何忽然想作VIDEO相關的東東. 印象中開始是在作TTL的RTC真實時鐘加7-SEG LED顯示, 研究出一種比較省TTL顆數的線路. 那就是用4040加上一顆ROM, 由ROM來解複雜的DECODER取代TTL的GATES. 由於4040是12位元的COUNTER, 所以要焊的顆數少了很多. 最後只要寫個程式產生ROM的TIMING就好了(吧). 當然, 一好沒有兩好. 這種線路的問題是TIMING實在不能接受. 當RTC還行, 作VIDEO太爛了. 幾分鐘就可以看到一次畫面在抖動. Hercules 這種顯示器早就進博物館了, 年紀大一點的可能會記得那個綠色琥珀色的單色螢幕. 解析度 720x350, 單色. 水平 Hsync 18.432KHz. 下面的68K接頭是後來才加上去的. 把DISPLAY ROM改成SRAM就可以當68K顯示卡用了. 訂閱： 張貼留言 (Atom). D i f f e r e n t - story of engineer.

68K 的通訊板/ 通訊模組, 把16位元的匯流排降到8位元後使用6850作為UART. 連接的時候用E腳同步, 和INTEL系列的IOR/IOW原理有很大的不同. 板上有升壓電路和不同的幾個位址解碼. 可以接PC, 8051, 還接過數位游標卡尺. 卡尺的數據接收之後再用本科系(IE)的統計品管和標準差等等來作專題展覽. 當時為了做組合語言的開根號花了很多時間, 還要內建MIL-105D來查表. 顯示的方法是用單色兩行文字型的LCD模組. 背面的線路 比MEMORY簡單多了, 比較麻煩的是當時12V升壓的IC不太好買. 現在在材料行可以說已經是每家都有, 還有各種包裝. 品牌也從以前的HARRISON到現在的五家以上, 當然. 和這些年來大家在嵌入式系統的DEBUG需求有關. 現在PC內部早就把12V的部份吃進Super I/O了. 而且COM PORT可能再一兩年買新電腦就看不到了.
