Thursday, July 24, 2008. A Visit to Flat Creek Winery. Thanks again to Rick and Madelyn Naber of Flat Creek Estates. Shelli and I delivered the next two paintings in my "Dancers in the Wine" series today. The vineyard was beautiful and the wine was excellent. After the first application of yellow is dry I add another and bring in some darker yellow tones as well. I now begin applying yellow with a brush while spraying with water. Making sure to keep this layer very thin. After allowing the water to dry I go over a few spots with more black acrylic and charcoal. I working to define the composition. Blog: Life and Times.
