Friday, January 30, 2015. Baby's First Lost Tooth. Sam came home this afternoon with this. In this mini-treasure chest is his first lost tooth. It had been wiggling a while, and while he was at lunch, he lost it. He got to go to the nurses office at school, and she gave him this cute little treasure chest to hold it in. Thursday, November 27, 2014. On Tuesday, I got to pop in to Sam's class, while Eric worked from home with Jake so that I could help out with preparations for the class Thanksgiving Feast. Saturday, March 29, 2014. Happy Birthday Big Boy. Well, it's Official Now. Sam is 5. He's a 5 year old. I mean really, he's a big boy. I shouldn't call him my baby, but I think I Always will. It's hard to believe he's a 5 year old now, and he'll be starting kindergarten. Then driving. Ugh! One step at a time. I know this is a big post, but 5 is a Big Age. Friday, April 24, 2015. Mommy is normally the one who gets to go to the Belt Promotions. But this time, Mommy wasn't home. So all the Boyz got to go to Chris's belt promotion. Christopher got promoted to 2nd Degree Brown Belt. He had just moved up a level from Advanced Shodan. And Shihan bumped him up a level too. Then this week, he graduated Advanced Shodan, and learned a new Kata, and moved up to Level 1 all on the same historic day. Very impressive. I am very proud of him! I'm proud of all of them.

Sunday, February 22, 2015. We got a couple of inches of snow on Saturday morning. Jacob couldn't resist watching out the window. He kept talking to the snow, saying stuff like Oh Wow, and Oh Yeah! Initially, no one wanted to go out and play in it. But once the big boys got out there, Jacob grabbed a shoe that wasn't his and went for the door to join them. It was a rainboot. Not really gonna work boo - so I got him all dolled up and ready for Snow! Mr Big Stuff could move the snow too. For a moment. :).

Monday, September 15, 2014. I keep lifting my shirt whenever he fusses at me. It's become instinctual. If he's fussy, he must be hungry. But I'm learning, or rather, he's teaching me, that is not the case. He has other ideas. And he yells at me and fusses to make his point. But this weekend he was teaching us that what he really wants is for me to read a book to him. Waa Waa means Quack Quack. And Noisy Farm has been his favorite book. Until today, when he discovered the That's Not My series of books.
