Neglecting My Kids: Surrender
http://neglectedkids.blogspot.com/2015/08/surrender.html
Finding new ways to ensure my children will need therapy, one day at a time. Tuesday, August 04, 2015. My shelf with my wips is getting a little out of control. Apparently I REALLY like pink project bags. My purple yarn is officially in a time out. It needs to learn to knit nicely. I've got a plan for it. I'm feeling fairly confident about the new course of action. It is a combination of all my previous techniques. But I haven't tried it out yet. I've been a little distracted. But that alpaca yarn. I loo...

A Yarning to Write: Nothing and Everything
http://a-yarning-to-write.blogspot.com/2007/01/nothing-and-everything.html
A Yarning to Write. Knitting, writing, motherhood, teaching. not necessarily in that order. Tuesday, January 30, 2007. Okay, I'll say it right now, writing makes you very strange to talk to. And it's so unfair! What did I do this weekend (besides take charming pictures of my children and finish those funk-adorable hats, that is! Well, I touched upon the lives of two children growing up destined to fall in love and the plan of vengeance that makes their love potentially tragic! NOT boring. At least yo...

A Yarning to Write: What I've Learned This Week
http://a-yarning-to-write.blogspot.com/2007/02/what-ive-learned-this-week.html
A Yarning to Write. Knitting, writing, motherhood, teaching. not necessarily in that order. Friday, February 02, 2007. What I've Learned This Week. If you think a week that starts with a funeral can't get worse you're just asking for trouble. A husband who cleans your car when you didn't ask him to is a treasure. A husband who accidentally throws away the bag of fruit snack packets you were saving for the babies is still a treasure. I've also learned that. Cat's barf in more than one place. Laughing long...

SoCherry Fibre Crafts: August 2012
http://socherryfibrecrafts.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
A blog of knitting, sewing, and studying for a degree while working full-time. Friday, August 3, 2012. Wedding dress part 8 - long overdue! Well the wedding has been and gone and I still have a lot to update. We met again another couple of times to finalise all the bits of the dress. We discovered why all-over chantilly beaded lace wedding dresses are rare - the weight of the beads will make the lace hem drop many inches (many! We had it altered elsewhere as we were so busy with the dress, and the perfec...

Jean from Cornwall: March 2014
http://jeanfromcornwall.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, 29 March 2014. A little dress and a new venture. A new dress for a little girl. This was a Swedish print that I ordered a couple of years ago, and it turned out to be much larger than I thought from the picture in the catalogue. So, now that she has grown some, I have been able to use it. The print was just perfect for self-covered buttons! Thursday, 13 March 2014. And then two from a print of wedding ring patchwork. It is fascinating how much variation can be produced working this way. So ...

Jean from Cornwall: OK, so where's the nest?
http://jeanfromcornwall.blogspot.com/2014/08/ok-so-wheres-nest.html
Saturday, 30 August 2014. OK, so where's the nest? So now you have a rough idea of how wide a wasp's jaw is. I am assuming that the little beasties don't take harm from whatever chemical content there is in the paint they are stripping off with the wood. The Gladioli have been nice, but not very prolific. They are pretty much over now, but we have started getting flowers on some that we thought were not going to. Gardener thinks they are Afghan Gladis. I don't know but I like them. 30 August 2014 at 20:22.

Amber Purls (and Knits too): December 2009
http://amberpearl.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Amber Purls (and Knits too). Thursday, December 17, 2009. On the left above my DH June 1952 to August 2009. Sorely missed, there is a hole in my heart that will never heal. The suddenness of his death was such a huge shock to all, we are still trying to make some sense of it. I tried moving this photo but blogger is not cooperating today so I'll let it stay where it is. I'm looking at houses and have seen one that I am tempted to put an offer on, but it feels like a very big step. View my complete profile.
