MBEARKNITSALOT
http://mbearknitsalot.blogspot.com/2012/08/do-unto-others-this-week-it-is-mainly.html
Miscellanous asides but some knitting, craft, vegan recipes content. Friday, 3 August 2012. This week it is mainly a domestic update. So bypass the boring bits and scroll down for podcast recommendation etc. Went to visit my mother on Wednesday who has lived in a Residential care home since 1999. I hasten to add that she remained there at her own request and likes it. She now has dementia, but still does have lucid periods and is proactive in participating in all the activities made available. Some are c...

MBEARKNITSALOT: March 2012
http://mbearknitsalot.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Miscellanous asides but some knitting, craft, vegan recipes content. Friday, 30 March 2012. Finally completed second bedspread, this time crocheted. So this week the blog is granny themed 1) Granny Squares, 2) Kindle Granny Baking and more 3) What would Granny have knitted? Retro knitting 4) What would Granny have listened to. So much is different now, and yet so much has remained the same. But it is easy to get carried away churning out numerous squares. There are loads on this one! However, it is impor...

MBEARKNITSALOT: If I had known that before!
http://mbearknitsalot.blogspot.com/2012/08/if-i-had-known-that-before.html
Miscellanous asides but some knitting, craft, vegan recipes content. Friday, 17 August 2012. If I had known that before! Life could have been so much easier if hindsight was clutched in my fist the day I was born. But then maybe I would have missed out on some interesting episodes on various journeys to achieve goals. So lesson number one is “modernity doesn’t always equate to easiest/best”. I like to think I am not a stick in the mud, but sometimes Granny knew Best. Knitting, recipe, ebook etc). Loads o...

MBEARKNITSALOT: Back Again!
http://mbearknitsalot.blogspot.com/2013/01/back-again.html
Miscellanous asides but some knitting, craft, vegan recipes content. Sunday, 27 January 2013. It has been over two months since I put an entry on here. (Sounds as if I in a confessional box! It had become something of a chore rather than a pleasure and now I intend to write only intermittently. Those who read it, know that I put an alert on Facebook and Twitter when I update. 5)Something to be grateful for. Well, a stash buster for a start as granny squares lend themselves to that. The two chain cords we...

Mitt liv på Irland, My life in Ireland: long time no speak
http://barazile.blogspot.com/2015/02/long-time-no-speak.html
Mitt liv på Irland, My life in Ireland. A blog by an Irishwoman, written in both English and Swedish, depending on what humour is on me. En blogg av en irländska, skriven på svenska och engelska. Just scroll down to find the English bits among the Swedish, or vice versa. Ta Gaeilge agam freisin, más é an rud é go bhfuil éinne eile le Gaeilge ag léamh mo bhlagsa. Ich verstehe auch ein bisschen Deutsch, je parle un petit peu francais och klarar av lite norska med. Wondering about the background of the blog?

The Flyin' Bobbin: This and That
http://flyinbobbin.blogspot.com/2016/03/this-and-that.html
Musings about working with fiber, and living the rural life. Friday, March 18, 2016. First off, I'd like to say that in the last post I mentioned that the entralac scarf structure was not very "giving". Well, that is not true! It is very pliable. I think it would. Make good socks or hats as it isn't firm at all. I don't know what I was doing that day, but it wasn't feeling my work! Rosa exploring the brook. She thought it was wonderful. Don't get excited about the green grass. That is a picture from ...

The Flyin' Bobbin: February 2014
http://flyinbobbin.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Musings about working with fiber, and living the rural life. Friday, February 7, 2014. This week's snowfall left us with about 10 inches of lovely, fluffy new snow. It looks like winter now, for sure. I took the time while inside to do some much needed cleaning of areas and finishing of projects. My favorite was the blankie and bear for Ty and Alyssa's baby, due this month. Ty and Alyssa on their wedding day. Here is the baby gift. The middle is double knit which makes it reversible and warm. That was so...

The Flyin' Bobbin: March 2014
http://flyinbobbin.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Musings about working with fiber, and living the rural life. Thursday, March 13, 2014. I have lived in New England all my life, so snow in March does not phase me. So having two days of snow, sleet and blustery cold wind from the north, is not unheard of. Second day, still snowing. That doesn't mean I am keen on it. Especially hard is the cold. It is only 9 degrees! That is what makes it so difficult. The wind, which I find is sort of hard to photograph, makes it feel much, much colder. Links to this post.
