I don’t spend a whole lot of time remembering what has shaped me, and I am usually quite vague about my long-term plans. Journalling does. Come easily to me. At best, I only occasionally get swept up in the odd bit of nostalgia. This is a bit of an odd thing for someone who is studying history! So: in the beginning.
