Weaver In Paradise: More FDC's
http://katherineregier.blogspot.com/2008/04/more-fdcs.html
Friday, April 4, 2008. I belong to several stamp carving Yahoo Groups: Carving Consortium. I have participated in many FDC swaps with the folks on these lists. We decorate envelopes using art that includes at least one handcarved rubber stamp, and the theme of the postage stamp. Here is the soft block print I carved for the Louis Comfort Tiffany FDC swap last summer:. Posted by Katherine Regier. Labels: An Artists Life. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Sweet Thread: May 2014
http://asweetthread.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Jam, pastries and yarn intermingle with pet hair. Sunday, May 4, 2014. I have finished a cardigan, a shawl and a pair of socks in the past week, and I am feeling pretty darn good about it! Today is supposed to be beautiful, but I need it to warm a little bit more before I get out there and garden. Might need one more cup of coffee and just a couple rows on the new sweater. What a lovely Sunday! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Brasstown, North Carolina, United States. View my complete profile.

A Sweet Thread: November 2013
http://asweetthread.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Jam, pastries and yarn intermingle with pet hair. Monday, November 25, 2013. For the last two weeks, I've been. I've been making pies to taste, making pies to sell at the Tomato Head restaurants, making gluten free pies, vegan pies, chocolate pies, pumpkin pies, pecan pies. Pies have been my life, at work, anyway. But two weeks ago, some friends and I went to the Slow Foods Tennessee Valley Pie Contest. ( http:/ tuesdayweavers.blogspot.com/2013/11/a-little-pie-in-sky.html. A pie But no matter! In the end...

A Sweet Thread: October 2014
http://asweetthread.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Jam, pastries and yarn intermingle with pet hair. Saturday, October 25, 2014. The first blanket done will go to my co-worker who is due in less than a month. She is still working just as hard as ever, and sometimes, we need to ask her to slow down a little, but she's getting tired at the end of the day. Sometimes, I just want to ask her to sit down! But she never would. The underside, in early morning sunlight. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Brasstown, North Carolina, United States. View my complete profile.

A FiberArtisan's Weaving Path: Apron Ties - Variations on Shoelaces
http://fiberartisan.blogspot.com/2015/08/apron-ties-variations-on-shoelaces.html
A FiberArtisan's Weaving Path. Loving a life weaving. Sunday, August 9, 2015. Apron Ties - Variations on Shoelaces. Then proceed with tensioning and when it's good, complete the square knots if needed for extra securing. Next I'll show you two alternate methods using shoelaces. They both start by first tying those smoothed-out warp bouts into an overhand knot at the end. Then use the two ends of the shoelace to tie onto the rod, in the same manner as in the traditional method above. The shoelaces are...

A FiberArtisan's Weaving Path: March 2015
http://fiberartisan.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
A FiberArtisan's Weaving Path. Loving a life weaving. Saturday, March 28, 2015. Here's the twist I'm putting into this weaving. The tartan as seen through sprang worked into the warp while it's still on the loom. I am working an inset area of sprang in the tartan cloth. It goes across the entire width of the warp. This is basic 1/1 interlinked braided structure. What on earth is this going to be, you ask? Links to this post. Sunday, March 22, 2015. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
