Eventhough I techincally only sewed four straight lines down each curtain I definitely think it counts. My friend, SarahAnne, is an amazing seamstress and graciously came over to help me get started. Just the Two of Us. Monday, July 25, 2011. There is good news in our home! It looks like we are going to be able to adopt the sweet little boy we've had in our home since January of this year! Both his parents state they are willing to relinquish their parental rights so that we can adopt him. We are beyond excited! While we love our little boy to the extreme- we really weren't loving his name (which I still cannot mention online- lots of rules! Im so happy for you guys! That is great news! And although ...

Just the Two of Us. Wednesday, March 30, 2011. I still have my two sweet little foster kids. Unfortunately, I do not have any further news on whether adoption is in our future. I really wish we did. Baby sleeps through the night- hooray! Toddler still takes naps- double hooray! I am frequently puked on, drooled on, and have noses wiped on my shoulder. Just the Two of Us. Tuesday, April 27, 2010. I went to work the next day with a ginormous band-aid over my burn. A very interesting thing happened. If a female co-worker asked what happened and I told her I burned my arm on a cookie sheet she would say something nice like, "oh, I'm sorry" or "that looks like it hurts! On the other hand, if a male co-worker asked me what happened I would invariably get one of the following responses:. What kind of cookies did you make? Why didn't you bring in any cookies?

Just the Two of Us. Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Staring at my Baby. Then I spend time thinking about what her life would have been like if she had stayed with her mother. What would she be wearing? Would she be healthy? Would she be happy? I wonder what she would smell, see and hear all day. I feel so grateful she is in my care and I vow to be a better mother than before. As I stare at her I think about what is in store for her. Will she stay with me? Will she be placed with her father or with relatives?
