Sunday, November 07, 2010. Trophy Tiger Muskies in Quemado, Bluewater Lakes make for Amazing Angling. Matt Pelletier of New Mexico Muskie's Inc at Quemado Lake, Fall 2010.Photo courtesy of Pelletier. It’s New Mexico’s latest fishing craze, anglers trying to catch giant, 40-inch, 20-pound tiger muskies lurking in the depths of Quemado and Bluewater lakes where they’ve been stocked to prey upon undesirable fish. A tiger muskie falls victim to an imitation goldfish lure. But the stocked tiger muskies have g...

BONZAI-NYMPH: April 2011
http://bonzai-nymph.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Welcome to the Addiction. Friday, April 29, 2011. Went up to JD and Perkins again last weekend, what a difference a month makes. Left at 4am with Mark, got to the lake just as the sun was cresting above the pines. Not even a hint of a breeze! Went to inflate my tube and realized I forgot my fins, well shit, here we go again. Rigged up a simi seal leech with a pt dropper. After about 5 minutes, I felt a tug. Nice little 10" rainbow, a couple minutes later, another, then another. Hell ya! Dipshit) he spend...

BONZAI-NYMPH: We are not in Idaho anymore....or are we?
http://bonzai-nymph.blogspot.com/2011/04/we-are-not-in-idaho-anymoreor-are-we.html
Welcome to the Addiction. Sunday, April 10, 2011. We are not in Idaho anymore.or are we? I put the metal to the pedal, or something like that. Got to the lake around 6pm, set up my rod and threw a few casts before dark, nada! Now is when the fun starts. I hear a dog howling, sounds close! Mark tells me he found a beagle, called his owner who lives in Prescott, would be up the next day to pick it up. Went back to his popup trailer, fed the pooch and had a bowl of soup! We of course I say no! I am pinned a...

Wednesday, November 25, 2009. Oryx Hunt on Ted Turner's New Mexico Ranch Special Event for a Lady. Photo Courtesy of Diane Gilmore. It wasn’t the kind of story you might expect to hear upon walking into a biker bar like Silva’s in downtown Bernalillo, New Mexico on a Saturday afternoon. The lady behind the horseshoe shaped bar was running about, talking excitedly and offering up samples of the oryx she’d bagged just a day or two earlier. Photo Courtesy of Diane Gilmore. But she lost her passion for the h...

BONZAI-NYMPH: Picture is worth a thousand words
http://bonzai-nymph.blogspot.com/2011/02/picture-is-worth-thousand-words.html
Welcome to the Addiction. Sunday, February 27, 2011. Picture is worth a thousand words. I guess that is why this fishing report has no photos! Better judgement should have prevailed, should have saved my kitchen pass for a better weekend, but it has been almost 6 weeks since my last confession.I mean fishing trip, so I guess you can't blame me for trying. Still had a great time and had lots of laughs. Will add some pics once I find my USB cable for my camera. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

OUTDOORS NM: Fisher-Chick, Clarissa Lopez, Shares Fishing Tips, Top Spots and Great Gear
http://karlfmoffatt.blogspot.com/2010/10/fisher-chick-shares-fishing-tips-top.html
Sunday, October 24, 2010. Fisher-Chick, Clarissa Lopez, Shares Fishing Tips, Top Spots and Great Gear. Got fat, lazy, kids dominated by cell phones, captivated by video, stupefied by TV? Maybe it’s time to drag them out of the house and teach them one of New Mexico’s favorite outdoor pastimes, like how to fish, the old fashioned way, with a simple pole and some bait down at the local fishing hole. But many of today’s kids seem to lack the same experiences and may be missing out on some of the simpl...
