Mohs On The Nose. More Rounds Of Mohs Surgery. You’d think that after two previous Mohs surgeries, I’d have enough bandage supplies to stock a small store. But n-o-o-o-o-o. I had some gauze pads, so I used one to cover the surgery site. All I had on hand was paper tape, and it’s not kind to skin (I learned from experience). I used it, anyway. Antibiotics) today and take them twice/day for 10 days, or until they run out. Tape She said I could buy more tape on amazon.com. I made my next appointment and DH ...

Mohs On The Nose. More Rounds Of Mohs Surgery. Dare I say it? I can see light at the end of the tunnel. The scab on my nose gets smaller by the day. It’s still very sore around the surgery site. Doesn’t the graft site look great? Yesterday I ventured out for breakfast with a friend. After not wearing a bandage all day the day before (except to sleep), the tape drove me crazy. I couldn’t wait to get home and take the whole thing off. Post about what happened at Starbucks? Complete with receipt. LOL! Eilee...

I’m on antibiotics, so it’s not likely, but still, I’m concerned. I took photos of it last night and again this morning. 8 Days Post-Op. My Face Is Still Swollen. Mohs On The Nose. More Rounds Of Mohs Surgery. Remember I said I’m not a good patient? Further proof: Today I decided to shower without putting plastic over my face. My thinking was that, if we’re supposed to clean the wound with water and a Q-Tip, water must not be the problem. I slathered on a thick layer of Vaseline over the entire surgery site and took my normal shower. I didn’t let the water hit my nose, but of course, some did roll down my face. Day 11 Post-Op, Slathered with Antibiotic Cream.
