ŽABA: Athens!
http://lbrosky.blogspot.com/2011/06/athens.html
Sunday, June 5, 2011. After the flight fiasco, we finally arrived in Athens. Before arriving, I asked my parents if they wanted to take the cheaper and more adventurous route (tram to the hotel), or the "safe bet" route (taxi). Neither of them had a definite answer, so of course I voted for the tram. We bought our tickets and everything was fine and dandy.until we had to make a transfer. Once we got to our hotel, it was really nice! It was pretty easy to get there because you can see it from a mile away&...

ŽABA: --THE COLLECTION--
http://lbrosky.blogspot.com/p/collection.html
You all know my obsession with street performers. Not just any, but specifically the ones who spend their time costumed, painted, and frozen, all in the name of a few euros (or whatever the currency may be). I have always been fascinated by how they dream up this crazy idea and carry it out day after day. This is my dedication to the best! I hope these people know they're appreciated (probably not by everyone, but certainly by me! And continue to practice their 'art' for many many more years!

ŽABA: April 2011

Thursday, April 28, 2011. The Grand Bazaar and the rest of Istanbul Day 1. After seeing the mosques, we were excited to head to the Grand Bazaar. On our way there, a "tour guide" man we ran into by Hagia Sofia wanted to also tell us about the city's architecture (what he studied in college), and take us to his carpet shop. Let me tell you. this guy was a jack of all trades! The lanterns and tea sets were awesome. i wish i could by tons of these lamps but definitely not practical. Wednesday, April 27, 2011.

ŽABA: --Travel Lessons--
http://lbrosky.blogspot.com/p/travel-lessons.html
Here is where I will compile any lessons I have learned (most of them the hard way) throughout my travels. Most of them come with a story of how they came to be part of my little collection of wisdom gems. 1 Every situation is a learning situation! 2 Don't rely on other people's clocks! We still have 30 minutes, right? Be right if that clock was right. It was an hour off. Lesson learned: check and double-check (and maybe triple-check if you're a Type A) the time with your own reliable clock! This is not ...

ŽABA: Venice
http://lbrosky.blogspot.com/2011/06/venice.html
Wednesday, June 22, 2011. Now I definitely don't want to sound like a complainer because the island really is. We saw Marco Polo's house and Casanova's mansion before being dropped off back where we had come from. I know it's gross, but I just can't resist! On the Rialto Bridge, which at one time was the only bridge to cross the Grand Canal. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Great Minds Think Alike: Other Travel Blogs. WHAT UP, SWAGS? ŽABA: --My Bucket List--

Although I haven't been everywhere. Off the coast of Chile, halfway to Tahiti! It is one of the most secluded places in the world. Why is it famous? The moai (statues) are littered all over the island. Why does it appeal to me? It's an unusual place to visit, and in my mind tops Stonehenge with it's stone. I would also love to go to Chile, so why not take a little sidetrip? Want to know more? Located in Shaanxi, China (come on guys, testing your geographical smarts! Why is it famous? How could it not.

ŽABA: Rome--Day 1
http://lbrosky.blogspot.com/2011/06/rome-day-1.html
Sunday, June 5, 2011. We got suckered into a tour because the line was pretty long and we really had no idea of any of the history of it. Usually I'm a DIY traveler, but my parents wanted to go on the tour and I agreed. We learned some interesting facts like that there were 80 complete arches, and the whole thing only took 8 years to build! He was nuts, and his english wasn't so great, but we learned some tidbits I wouldn't have otherwise. On top of Palatine Hill overlooking the Roman Forum. When we left...

ŽABA: Rome--Day 2
http://lbrosky.blogspot.com/2011/06/rome-day-2.html
Wednesday, June 8, 2011. It was already pretty hot, even though it was only around 10am, so my mom wanted to stop and get some "lunch", which was a huge cone of gelato! Talk about a diet I could get used to! Haha) After that we went to see this tower with very intricately carved patterns. It was cool, but I had never seen anything about it in my research for traveling, so I just kind of ignored it. We were also too busy eating our gelato to take a picture. Oops! At least we have a mental picture. From th...
