Sarahs Blog: Culture and Poverty. Sunday, February 20, 2011. Update: What Do you believe should be done about poverty in the U.S? So, In answer to my question, What do you believe should be done about Poverty? I believe companies who hire full time staff, should pay workers living wages versus minimum wages for the city that they are employed in. This would eliminate, at least somewhat, employees not being able to pay their basic and essential bills like childcare, health, food and shelter.
