Somewhat on that topic, I realized that I never gave any real description of San Cristobal. I was going to try to draw a map but the realized that my mac doesn’t have the paint application so you’re gonna have to use your imagination, at least until Ben arrives and then I promise to post my photos. Though they certainly are not the most important feature of my research I got a little sidetracked and went a little crazy with the graph making. Oh and on an unrelated note, to answer Shari’s question: the temperature is generally in the low 20s during the day. Spanish Word of the Day: Ermitaño/Ermitaña (Hermit). We’ve been moving around quite a bit up until now and the internet access hasn’t always been great so I figured I’d take this as an opportunity to get you all caught up. Posted in Guatemala/Mexico 2011. Anyway, as most of you probably know, Josh got a job in Yellowknife and is currently in the process of packing up&...

My life as I try to figure out where God is taking me. Saturday, July 28, 2012. This post is a little late, but better late than never! But there are those moments, few and far between, that cause me to look around and think to myself “here it is. This is what I was supposed to be doing.” Last week was one of those moments for me. Wednesday, July 18, 2012. There and Back Again. I spent most of saturday hanging out in the city because Mike and Anne got a flat tire coming back from Kibuye. I had coffee...

http://losnyder.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html

My life as I try to figure out where God is taking me. Wednesday, May 30, 2012. The Best Laid Plans, or Welcome Back to my Blog. I got a phone call in early May, on a Monday afternoon, from a former coworker at World Vision Canada. He had heard about a position open at World Vision Burundi that he thought I would fit well with. They needed someone right away, would I be interested? Thank you for taking this adventure with me. I am excited to see where it takes me and to share some of it with you.

My life as I try to figure out where God is taking me. Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Saharan Adventures: Story time. Since I can't share any of my pictures yet, I'll end with a story. One day, a short time later, the goat-man and his friend were back in the market and the man from the neighbouring village came by. He bought the goat-man (again) and once he had handed over the money he pulled out a knife. What are doing with that knife dear sir? Asked the goat-man's friend. Said the man lifting up the knife.

Under African Skies!: November 2013

http://losnyder.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html

My life as I try to figure out where God is taking me. Friday, November 15, 2013. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about a lot of things. Let me try and get some of them out. Bear with me! First, my current position will come to an end on December 20. My small group back in Halifax talked about how our lives are a little like those connect-the-dots pictures you find in colouring books for kids. God knows what the picture looks like, but we only get to see the next dot. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

http://losnyder.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html

My life as I try to figure out where God is taking me. Sunday, August 19, 2012. Extraordinary in the Ordinary. In most ways my life here in Bujumbura is not that completely different than my life in Canada. I get up in the morning, go to the office for 7:30 until 5pm (long day! Ready to spend the afternoon on the water. Rockin' the lovely orange life vests. We saw three different families of hippos for a total of almost 30 different individual hippos! Sarah's Travel Blog

Friday, December 08, 2006. Whooonew version of Blogger, exciting :). Well, I was right, Queenstown. Partytown. But.I find it a bit shit. Reason being that I could not for the life of me find any decent cheese-playing venue anywhere. For somewhere with such a huge backpacker population, I find this amazing. Most places played a couple of 'standard' cheese songs (not even Bon Jovi! But never mind, this means that I shall enjoy Reflexing even more back in Bristol :). I had planned to do quite a bit of walki...

Sarah's Travel Pages

Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Getting out of Russia proved somewhat harder than getting in. First there was the security line to enter the airport. When my father and I reached the front of the line, the attendant tapped the face of her watch with irritation and said, “Not until 1:00! Russia—with its heavy veil of bureaucracy and completely. By far my favorite site in St. Petersburg, however, was the Church of the Savior on the Blood, which was built by Alexander II in memory of his father, who was mu...

She Travels. She Runs

She Travels. She Runs. Wednesday, 12 August 2015. A Few Final Thoughts on RTP Ecuador (or How an Ordinary Runner Ended Up the Female Winner). Since the race finished, so many people have asked me 'did you expect to win? But winning the race? Not a chance, that's for 'really good' runners and I'm just an average runner who only ran her first marathon 4 years ago. Yet my week in Ecuador has proved that anything is possible with good training, determination and a bit of luck. The simple fact is that the mor...
