The reason given by the fuel guys was unreliability. At Hennenman two of the new "Bright star" diesels were attempting to shunt the silos, they failed and were staged at Hennenman. South African Railway News. Thursday, 6 February 2014. Not much, haven't been out line side much lately. RRL's loco from Mozambique at Friedesheim with a load of empty hoppers for Frieddies 5 shaft. The old 31 class at the exchange yards at Welkom show grounds, waiting for one of Harmony's locos to pick up the load and bring empties. A couple of shots of the uplifted Glen Harmony branch. South African Railway News. Tuesday, 26 February 2013. First train of the day was at Virginia, the Northbound car train. At first we thought this train was very late but it turned out the running times have been changed, hoots from the crew. Later we got 34 067 between Welkom and Mothusi on the return working of the Bothaville pick-up. The Blue came past about "right time" with plenty of hoots from the crew. South African Railway News. Thursday, 6 June 2013. RRL's Hercules was caught at the Friedesheim exchange yard with a load of empty hoppers from 5 shaft and again near the shaft itself. The Queensland diesels have left Welkom. At Bloemhof a North bound load of ore wagons speeded through behind 4x blue 10E's. Later another load of ore wagons headed South behind 5x 18E's. The Blue Train was heading South just after Makwassie. Sheltams 31 was on its way to the exchange yard with Harmony Surface Rail.
