tiny trifles: June 2012
http://tinytrifles.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 29. Last weekend we had a campfire for Sol's birthday. Abel decided to grab the torch and thrill us with his spooky storytelling. ONCE upon a t-i-i-ime. There was a little g-i-i-rl. And she rised up. And a terrible storm came. And then a witch came and cursed her into a sheeeeeP. And then she ran away. Dying into the rain. That’s the end of MY STORY! Cough cough splutter.}. Thursday, June 28. Abi {troubles with friends}. I never knew that! I've thought about why they didn't like my decision ...

tiny trifles: February 2013
http://tinytrifles.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 21. So long, farewell! I have a sneaking suspicion that you've noticed I'm not very good at keeping up this blogging caper. The short version of events is that we've spent the last 3 months moving from Canberra to Brisbane and so the blog was 'prioritised'; so much so that I've decided to draw a line under it and effectively leave this Canberra blog in Canberra. tiny trifles: about the kids
http://tinytrifles.blogspot.com/p/about-kids.html
It's a decision that all bloggers have to make. How do you draw a line around your private life? Where does your personal self end and your public self begin? As far as tiny trifles. Goes, Brenden and I chose (in consultation with the kids) to use their real first names, to show their faces, and to incorporate some of their own work into the blog. This is for a few reasons:. As described on about tiny trifles. Content is appropriate for your own children and that, if they do comment, that they abide by w...

tiny trifles: September 2012
http://tinytrifles.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 24. I notice a pattern emerging here. I've resurrected the blog but I'm only managing to post on Mondays! Sorry to anyone hoping for more than that, but I think it's where I'm at right now. So for a little while I'll stick to Mondays and I'll try to make them a bit more interesting than this post! It's been an ordinary week this week. Which is good, right? The kids have been playing Harry Potter after school. Abi loves a good Hagrid getup. These are her business cards. Yep. This child s...

tiny trifles: adventuring {revelations}
http://tinytrifles.blogspot.com/2012/10/adventuring-revelations.html
Thursday, October 4. It turns out I'm a bit slow. We live in a suburb that's a bit large and has miles and miles of meandering pathways. We frequently go for walks near our house but, until recently (thanks Tina! We had completely overlooked a pretty darn lovely corner. There's a really boring-looking path near our house but it turns out it leads somewhere pretty spesh! The boys lead the way. A fabulous half-court in the middle of nowhere! It's so quiet out here! Abel: "Oh look at that really fancy duck!

tiny trifles: goodbye to winter
http://tinytrifles.blogspot.com/2012/09/goodbye-to-winter.html
Monday, September 17. So today is 17 September and the top temperature in Canberra has been a whopping 15.3 degrees! So glad winter is *ahem* behind us. I haven't taken many photos for the last couple of months but here are a few from the last 4 weeks of our very last Canberra winter. Feeding the ducks on Lake Ginninderra in early August. From memory it was about 4:30pm and 5 degrees. Old lady cat enjoyed her warm window. Another old lady cat with another warm window. I think they're self-explanatory?

tiny trifles: about tiny trifles
http://tinytrifles.blogspot.com/p/about-tiny-trifles.html
So anyway, I was thinking the other day "the world really could use another blog". Not being one to shirk my obligations, I got busy and whipped up tiny trifles. Trifles, of course! Over dinner the other night Bren (he's my husband and he's lovely) asked the kids "if our family was a food, what would we be? And then Abel piped up (yes, the youngest, 'nuff said) and decided that "we are all animals! I told you Bren was lovely. Oh, and his favourite dessert is trifle so he's hideously biased as well. Anywa...

tiny trifles: holiday time
http://tinytrifles.blogspot.com/2012/10/holiday-time.html
Tuesday, October 2. We've made it to the holidays! The last week or so has looked like this. Bren wrote me a love note on the fridge. Actually, Abel wrote me a note (I love my woman) and. Bren added to it, the old softy ;-). I've been dodging these flying devils all week. Abi sang at Floriade this week with her school choir. Can you spot her? Scan to the far right). Abel doorknocked our street for the Heart Foundation this week. He took Bren but apparently he didn't help much! She's off to camp for a week.
