Like a leaf on the wind. 2nd May, 2015 at 9:34 AM. Crossposted at my Tumblr. You knew it was too good to last, didn’t you? I don’t know about anyone else, but this is the conversation I saw, tracking back as best as I could. I’m paraphrasing a bit, but here goes. Yes, said Moen. Someone on a panel mentioned she’d seen/heard about some slash fic about Vox Day and RH. Moen wasn’t entirely sure which of the women on the panel had said it, but. That’s about how long it took for someone who was not there to c...

http://tattercoats.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Reflections on science fiction, fantasy and the writing life. Tuesday, October 05, 2010. My Story Is Now Live. I've spent the last week wondering whether I had a sale or not, and just as I am about to query, I get a message that yes, they're ready to publish my story. Maybe I should've queried right after the message that looked like a server burp. But the story is up now. It's The End of Her Line. And it's at Every Day Fiction. Which publishes a short-short of 1000 words or less every day of the year.

Through the Worldgate: When It All Looks Like Crap
http://tattercoats.blogspot.com/2014/11/when-it-all-looks-like-crap.html
Reflections on science fiction, fantasy and the writing life. Saturday, November 08, 2014. When It All Looks Like Crap. Right now I'm at the worst part of the revision process with The Steel Breeds True. The point where everything looks like crap, and I'm starting to wonder if the story itself can even be salvaged, or if it would be better to just toss the whole thing and try something else. That dreadful moment when I fear that if I do offer it for sale, everyone will laugh and point. Reading on a Budget.

What About Including Elves? - scribblerworks
http://scribblerworks.livejournal.com/57048.html
What About Including Elves? Sep 5th, 2012 at 9:33 AM. Ive been doing some thinking lately about why so many fantasy writers have the impulse to include elves (by that or any other name) in their fantasy worlds. Id looked at the issue of immortality before, but this was a broader impulse. Ive posted the main discussion over on my Arveniem blog. We have this impulse to include elvish type beings in our fantasy worlds, I wonder? Id be interested in reactions and feedback on the idea. James a. owen.

J T Glover (. I'm going to ramp up my blogging now.". This post could be subtitled "a phrase one usually does not hear." The last week has involved various obiter dicta about the nature of blogging as of December 2011. This morning I was poking through the usual run of art blogs and saw an artist talking about stepping away from his journal just until he gets this one book done, and I had to smile, because I hear it all the time from writers. The nice (? Was always on about. Now, many years later, I ...
