Kat's Serious Blog: October 2006
http://katsseriousblog.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
A blog about learning, teaching, and learning teaching. Thursday, October 19, 2006. Anyway, the idea is we have to make our classes interesting, fun and relaxing so that they want to come and don't miss too many lessons, thus giving us a good attendance percentage. Yay. I need to work on getting things right the first time, I guess. And here's a picture of our teacher's room, for no good reason. It seems to double as a storage room for spare chairs and desks. A blog about learning, teaching, and learning teaching. Saturday, August 19, 2006. I eralise I haven't exactly been regular with my blog posts here, but that is because I have been far too busy, and any blog time I've had has been spent on the students' blog, anyway! Today was the last day of teaching here at Lines, and we're in the throes of packing as I write. The plan is to leave tomorrow morning heading for Edinburgh. So that is something to look forward to. So check there, instead. Links to this post.

A blog about learning, teaching, and learning teaching. Wednesday, May 24, 2006. Webquest Complete (I think). So I've added an evaluation from rubistar, and a few pics and I think it's done. I suppose I should go look up the criteria somewhere. Ah well. It'll do. And if it won't, someone let me know so that I can fix it! Posted by Kat at 10:43 pm. Links to this post. I've published my webquest! Oh, and, as I've been asked a few times, Pirates of Penzance is over. The last performance was last Sunday,...

A blog about learning, teaching, and learning teaching. Monday, November 27, 2006. Also, the qualification is valid for life, although I have to do a 4 hour "co-ordination" session every year if I'm planning to examine. I can use it pretty much anywhere in the world as well, which is nice, although it's not something you can do full time, there might be a weekend's work every now and then for me. And of course, it looks great on the resume! Everything went just as it was supposed to, which is nice! As I'...

http://katsseriousblog.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
A blog about learning, teaching, and learning teaching. Wednesday, April 18, 2007. In other recent news. I was offered a bit of informal translation work the other day, by a friend and colleague at work. She does french to english translating for a south american company quite regularly, and while the pay is crap, they don't expect professional translators. So it sounds like an excellent way to get some experience, which I've been wanting for a while now. Posted by Kat at 11:34 pm. Links to this post.

A blog about learning, teaching, and learning teaching. Tuesday, March 28, 2006. Profile pics have to be less than 50k, so I've had to shrink it first. Unfortunately this system does mean it is here twice, at least until I write enough posts to make this one disappear into the archives! Posted by Kat at 2:24 pm. Links to this post. So this is a photo of the Bosphorus in Istanbul. From a distance, Istanbul is such a pretty place. Still working on how to get a profile pic up. Posted by Kat at 1:41 pm.

A blog about learning, teaching, and learning teaching. Saturday, June 09, 2007. CRA in GE@QUTIC is finished! Yes, I did title my assignment with a cryptic combination of acronyms. I actually wrote "at" instead of @ on the paper itself though. It seemed best. And the sub-title was about a paragraph long and explained it all, so that's ok, I think. Posted by Kat at 1:28 pm.
