♥: About Pepper
http://savvypepper.blogspot.com/2008/07/pepper-adopted-me-more-than-i-adopted.html
Monday, July 14, 2008. Pepper seems to capture the hearts of everyone he meets. I bought him from a guy who really didn't spend much time with him, and kept him in a corral, sunk in mud, behind what looked like a normal neighborhood. He looked like he deserved so much more, so I brought him home. Though riding has been a challenge in all the years I've owned him, he never ceases to make me laugh, and force me want to give him a hug and a kiss. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Pepper was my first horse.

Sunday, July 20, 2008. Pepper is a horse of many personalities. He is mildly left brain extrovert.but has several introvert traits. He's very food motivated, and loves to earn his treats by tucking his head between his legs in an effort to bow. He does have some confidence issues though, and that's where his right brain tendancies come into play. Mostly with riding, he goes from extream right brain introvert to extream right brain extrovert. Monday, July 14, 2008. He's a fat and happy horse who likes his...

Sandy's Parelli Journey: September 2009
http://savvysandy.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 29, 2009. I turned 20 on Saturday, and have had a great week. It really was more like a birthday week than anything. But Sat some friends came over and we indulged in worship, study, games, fellowship, and great food of course! It was a spectacular day, and know I am so blessed to have such people with beautiful hearts. We're working hard on level 2 freestyle, and Lord willing everything go according to schedule, we will be starting level 3 freestyle next week. yay! We got into a high ...

Sandy's Parelli Journey: May 2009
http://savvysandy.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 30, 2009. I try to get out with the boys early in the morning these days. It's just too hot! I have been loving the back issues you can now watch on the savvy club website, there is SO much information! I watched one with Pat and his mare Magic giving a segment on bridless riding. It was sooo inspiring and gave me a lot to think about over the next couple days and weeks. Use your seat to talk to your horse. How light can you be? And how can that lightness be applied to all savvys? Pep loads...

Sandy's Parelli Journey: 7 weeks!
http://savvysandy.blogspot.com/2010/04/7-weeks.html
Friday, April 9, 2010. I leave 7 weeks from today! My trailer has been all dolled up, the vet has been out, and the farrier is getting the pony's feet ready to go! I got a new vet and farrier all in the same week, and couldn't be more stoked about them both. The vet had very very nice manners toward my horses, and was very helpful in getting me set up to enter and leave Colorado. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). So please take a look around and tell me what you think! The Parelli method allows horse l...

Sandy's Parelli Journey: March 2009
http://savvysandy.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Well it's been buisy around here lately, and so much fun.most of the time. So I've been learning about handling a green horses feet, and it's not as stressful(for me, ha! As I thought it was. Rascal is doing great. Today we even tryed out figure 8 with barrels, and sending over a pole. He's a little skeptical as he is with almost everything, but put a lot of effort in. I filmed my level 1 with Pep last week, and we are heading well into level 2 online! Friday, March 20, 2009.

Sandy's Parelli Journey: April 2010
http://savvysandy.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 26, 2010. If my counting down is correct, my course begins in 5 weeks! It's always hard to keep a consistant program going when the weather constantly flip-flops.but I'll also admit to being terrible about sticking to my own schedual. Number one priority from here on out is extreme friendly with the horse trailer. Tuck has been nervus about it since he's been here.maybe partially because I'm nervus about it? Prior and proper preparation, I am counting on to help us out. Friday, April 9, 2010.

Sandy's Parelli Journey: January 2010
http://savvysandy.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 29, 2010. It is going fabulous. I spent yesterday and today working on it, and really taking the time it takes to show Tuck how to safely get in and back out of the trailer. He's been real worried about stepping backwards off the step, but finally put it together today. Yesterday he offered to put in one hind leg with the very tippy toe resting. I was stoked with that, and called it quits. Today he did that twice, and then I'd retreat, and on the 3rd time he got in! So now I can safely pr...
