Saw Dust and Splinters. Projects and discoveries from an obsessed woodworker who likes to make wooden children's toys. Customer Photos and Suggestions. Monday, June 15, 2015. This was a fun little weekend project that took me a couple of weeks to do. I actually finished the blocks several months ago but decided I needed a carrying case for them. So that is what I did last week. Saw Dust and Splinters. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Woodworking for Mere Mortals: fun with wood. Saw Dust and Splinters.

Saw Dust and Splinters: Sanding Table

Saw Dust and Splinters. Projects and discoveries from an obsessed woodworker who likes to make wooden children's toys. Customer Photos and Suggestions. Tuesday, July 7, 2015. The second goal was to organize and store all the parts for making toys. I have accumulated a lot over the years. You can sort of tell that I like the treaded wheels and have a lot of them. It is also apparent that I need to order more of the 1 1/2" wheels. This is one of the benefits of having everything separated out. This work is ...

Saw Dust and Splinters. Projects and discoveries from an obsessed woodworker who likes to make wooden children's toys. Customer Photos and Suggestions. Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Year in review 2014. It is another year over and one more begins. It was an interesting year for me. There were some changes made last year that affected this year and some unexpected surprises. Here are the highlights of the goals I had last year. Catch up on the Wood Magazine. The biggest and most noteworthy is that I have st...

Saw Dust and Splinters. Projects and discoveries from an obsessed woodworker who likes to make wooden children's toys. Customer Photos and Suggestions. Monday, January 12, 2015. A Little Personal Touch. This coworker was the person who introduced me to the sand paper vendor that I currently use. It is a poor correlation but I obviously used this sandpaper on this project. Honestly, this sandpaper (Uneeda) is far superior to the other stuff that I have used. Saw Dust and Splinters. Monday, January 5, 2015.

At the N House: Fixing the "mudroom"

http://lifewithlotty.blogspot.com/2015/08/fixing-mudroom.html

Tuesday, August 4, 2015. The weekend of July fourth I woke up and decided I wanted to do a project. So, when he got home from work, we packed up the littles and headed out to Lowe's to pick up some lumber and supplies. Our project was this: A remodel of our mudroom. The problem: It has been a dumping ground for clutter, the place where the children hang their coats and backpacks is getting over crowded, and we have a serious shoe problem. Task 1: Empty the clutter. Task 3: Begin building the framework.

At the N House: October 2014

http://lifewithlotty.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Thursday, October 2, 2014. All hail, October is here. I'm very excited about it being October. I'm very upsetted that our family hasn't decided on costumes yet. I had very strange dreams last night. It happens when I stay up too late watching an emotionally difficult movie (Divergent- emotional because I was thinking of all three books. All three stupid books with all three of their stupid endings), and go to bed too tired. How did we get on this subject? Here comes the flour sifter. It was our second an...

Tuesday, July 29, 2014. Camera Dump 2 (Still not gross). Another collage of pics for you. An omnium gatherum if you will. It would be very remiss of me not to capture- at least once in his young life- how adorable oliver is when he drinks from a straw. He's looked the absolute same since he started drinking from a straw at 9 months. Feeding the turtles at the local ice cream shop. Little Gabes wishing I would let him out of his stroller. NO GABIES! Of course we have to ride the rides at the ice cream shop.

At the N House: A Father's Day Celebration

http://lifewithlotty.blogspot.com/2015/07/a-fathers-day-celebration.html

Friday, July 31, 2015. A Father's Day Celebration. I do so enjoy Father's Day. It's an important day for us to honor Dave who we love so much :). I gotta say, I am usually good at cooking breakfast. I don't usually burn it (as I burn at least one dinner per month), and usually it tastes pretty good. Breakfast, yum. Dave prefers his breakfast au suite. He still ate it anyway, with a smile, as he always does. After breakfast we brought him his Father's Day gifts. Boy does she hate being wrong. Later that d...

It's all about the Grandchildren. Sunday, October 28, 2012. Cal Poly Pumpkin Patch. We had such a fun time at the Cal Poly Pumpkin Patch, Brad and Katie go every year. I thought it was because they are both graduates of Cal Poly. I mean, there are Pumpkin Patches all over town, what is the big deal with this one. Except that you climb around in a muddy field! At the N House: February 2015

http://lifewithlotty.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html

Saturday, February 28, 2015. Charlotte's 100th day of school was just a few days before Valentine's day. When did this become a thing? I never remember 100 days of school being a thing. Ever. It's a big deal now. Charlotte was super sick with a fever and ear infection a few days before and almost died when I told her she might not be able to go. So we dug out some items out of my "secret laboratory", and threaded them through a piece of ribbon. Her teacher said she was very creative. It was actually a st...

At the N House: PK Graduation Time

http://lifewithlotty.blogspot.com/2015/07/pk-graduation-time.html

Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Our little Oliver graduated from PK this year. My little snuggle bug is going in to Kinder this fall! One of my favorite things about PAP is their adorable pre-school graduation. Here's little Oliver marching down the center on his way to the stage. He's right in the middle in that striped shirt. He's pretty much camouflaged. Here he is on the stage. Accepting his 'diploma' from Ms. Marie. Ms Judy, one of Olls' teachers. We're proud of this little fella and all he has become,.

http://andyandmarlene.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

It's all about the Grandchildren. Saturday, February 18, 2012. This was the Valentines "Surprise" we got from our granddaughters. Mia told me they had a surprise in the car. The child can not keep a secret. This was so special. It took a lot of time and work and Grandma and Grandpa love you too! So we thought we would do something different from our normal celebrate Birthdays at Sunday Dinner. The original. Plan was to go to Ferrall's.
