Tuesday, July 28, 2009. One Month has passed since surgery. Many changes have occurred. Some expected; some not. I knew I would be tired. But, I did not expect my tastes to change. This has proved to be quite a challenge. Hard to get my needed protein in because of this but I am working on it. Looking for other sources. I am pleased that my diabetes appears to be improving. Monday, April 7, 2008. I made these for book club a couple of weeks ago (we read Austenland. And I wanted something British-y). They are delicious and just might be my new favorite non-chocolate cookie. The original recipe comes from Everyday Food Magazine. 1 cup (2 sticks) butter. 1 cup confectioners' sugar. 3/4 teaspoon almond extract. 2 cups all-purpose flour.
