May 24, 2010. My son and I went to a Canoe Race with the Boy Scouts last Saturday and even though we didn’t win I feel like we got a lot closer. June 16, 2011. Once again I am at an uncomfortable point in my life. My teenage son is taking Drivers Ed and the anxiety this involves is enough to make me shiver! I have been teaching him how to drive, and although he listens to my instructions I worry that he will be impulsive, as he is day-in day-out, and will get in trouble and possibly even injured. These days i am concern with what my kid will do for a career, and frankly is a lost battle. what is it with generation X and the Millenials? Seems to me that they are all concerned with worng values, altough I don’t see how they can expect everyone to cater to their wishes and needs with the sole inspiration of their whims. Things had gotten better as a result of talking things through, not that he has stopped trying my patience, and I can say that we have a relationship were we can talk about anything.
