Friday, February 10, 2012. We've had a busy January at the Scheutzow Ranch. We:. Transitioned Merit to a toddler bed. Got new bedroom furniture. Set up a new bedroom for Merit. Had 2 cars in the shop 3 times. Visited a new community group. Spent time with friends. Kept up with our usual things: soccer, midwife appts, work, biking, etc. Had family visit from out of town (twice). I am sure there is more that I cannot remember. Monday, December 3, 2012. Faith In Something Bigger. I wrote most of this post a few nights ago. I didn't finish it and wasn't going to post it. In the interest of full disclosure and vulnerability, I decided to post it anyways. As of this morning, Lee has made more progress and the doctors seem very pleased with where he is at. Friday, March 9, 2012. Life is changing for us. I am a real-live, full-time, stay-at-home-mom. I am not watching JW and LM anymore. We miss them, but it is good. We are a one-car family. I spend more time on the floor making truck noises. I used to be more of a mediator/supervisor, but now I am full-time playmate. The mindset adjustment has been quite a change, but it's good for us. Spring is coming. Some days are hitting 60s and 70s and sunshiny and it is wonderful. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Wednesday, February 13, 2013. I 3 a tubie. His medial supplies (pumps, IVs, G-tube) and the hospital are really my best frenemy. I hate that they are a part of our life. I hate that the hospital is a comfortable place to be. I hate that we can hear a room number and know where it is, be excited about it. I hate the extra work that all these things require and the way that they hold Lee back. They are an enemy. This week is Feeding Tube Awareness Week. Http:/ www.feedingtubeawareness.com/. Friday, March 8, 2013. Church, a response. Image from Veritas website. This morning my heart is a little heavy. A full kind of heavy, not an achy one. I read this post about church. And it really resonated. Basically the post talked about why young people don't go to church or can't find the church they are looking for, and the stigma of being a church-going christian. As I read through the comments, I felt like man, we ALL feel this way. Feel free to add comments or contact me for discussion or questions.
