Craig Bailey on Microsoft. REVIEW: Premium Economy on Air New Zealand. April 28, 2008. On my recent trip to the MVP Summit I flew Premium Economy class over to the US. Premium Economy is new for Australia-USA trips and is only available via Air New Zealand (to LA) and JetStar (Star Class to Honolulu) as far as I know. Qantas will be offering the class later in the year. I thought I’d give a quick review of how Premium Economy stacks up. I’ll break this in to 3 main areas: Staff, Stomach and Seat. I’...

Craig Bailey on Microsoft. THOUGHT: When will recruiters take to Twitter? March 31, 2008. Filed under: Social networking. These days it seems the best indication of when a particular social media source has reached it’s used by date is when recruiters are using it more than your ‘real’ connections. Isn’t so bad, but that’s more likely to be because I don’t have technology related keywords against my profile. So, I’m wondering how long before the recruiters start swarming over Twitter. 2 Then, when you ar...

Craig Bailey on Microsoft. TIP: Repairing Outlook .ost and .pst files. March 25, 2008. I’ve had issues recently with Outlook crashing when I shut it down. Initially I thought this was due to a rogue Outlook Addin (eg I’ve got Xobni, ClearContext, OutTwit and others installed). So I went through systematically getting rid of them. Put the problem persisted. If you are looking for it you can find it in your c: Program Files Microsoft Office Office 12 folder or equivalent. Technorati Tags: scanpst.exe.

https://craigbailey.wordpress.com/2008/04/03/tip-dates-in-outlook
Craig Bailey on Microsoft. TIP: Dates in Outlook. April 3, 2008. I don’t know if you read the Outlook Team Blog. But if not I recommend it – there’s stacks of goodies over there. For example, on entering dates in Outlook. I didn’t realise you could enter a date as easily as ‘next tue’ and Outlook would work it out for you automatically:. As Kristel explains, there’s a bunch of terms that work, including ‘tomorrow’, ‘Christmas day’ and ‘in 6 days’. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

Craig Bailey on Microsoft. TIP: Introducing people who already know each other. April 29, 2008. No doubt you’ve done this at some point:. You’re at an event or user group and find yourself chatting with someone new. A friend of yours strolls over and joins the conversation. Being the polite person you are you introduce your friend to the new person. They reply with ‘oh yes, we already know each other – Bob here is my brother…’. Easy to feel embarrassed right? Obviously you should use a bit of common sense.

https://craigbailey.wordpress.com/2008/03/10/tip-how-to-uninstall-ie8
Craig Bailey on Microsoft. TIP: How to uninstall IE8. March 10, 2008. If, like me, you rushed out and installed Internet Explorer 8. Last week, then you may, like me again, be regretting it. IE8 has been slow, unstable and. By ugly I mean that most of the sites I viewed looked really bad (or didn’t render at all). The price of progress you may say? After all, the push is on for better standards compliance right? When is a Beta a Beta? Short answer: it’s never a beta anymore. It’s a shame really. I’...
