1997년 창립된 우리 한국학교사회복지학회는 학교사회복지 분야에서 전국적으로 그 대표성을 인정받고 있는 국내유일의 학술단체입니다. 지난 십 수 년 동안 우리 학회는 학계뿐만 아니라 실천현장에 학교사회복지 분야의 토착화된 이론과 실천모형을 개발하고 보급하는데 선도적인 역할을 수행하였습니다. 특히, 우리 학회에서 발행하고 있는 학교사회복지 학술지는 2008년 한국연구재단 등재후보지로 선정 되었으며, 학교사회복지와 관련된 연구 및 학술교류의 명실상부한 메카 역할을 충실히 수행하고 있습니다. 또한 세계학교사회복지대회 및 동아시아 대회에도 지속적으로 참여하는 등 한국학교사회복지의 국제화 노력도 지속적으로 추진하고 있습니다. 이러한 눈부신 성장과 노력에도 불구하고 역경과 도전이 우리 앞에 놓여 있습니다. 학회의 전문성 제고, 학교사회복지의 제도화 문제 등은 우리가 추진해야 할 가장 중요한 과제입니다. 2016년 학회 운영위원들만의 힘과 노력으로는 불가능하며,. 회원님들의 지지와 성원이 있어야만 가능할 것입니다.
