Chronicling my journey into lutherie as a first time guitar builder. View my complete profile. Thursday, November 29, 2012. It's been a long while, but I got some work done tonight. Wanted to see how my cosmo black Gotoh's looked on the peghead. Besides that, the neck angle appears to be wrong. Laying a straight edge on the frets, it is 3/32 above the bridge. Everything I read suggest it should be 0 - 1/8" above the bridge, so I need to bring it down some. *sigh*. Wednesday, October 7, 2009. It was stres...

Schultz Guitars: June 2008

http://www.schultzguitars.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html

Chronicling my journey into lutherie as a first time guitar builder. View my complete profile. Monday, June 30, 2008. Tuesday, June 24, 2008. I used the router setup as seen on the last post to flush trim the top. It really wasn't that bad, the bearing bit and side attachment protected the guitar from any "lack of experience/control" on my behalf. Wednesday, June 11, 2008. Wednesday, June 4, 2008. Test #1 was supported at the top and bottom, it yielded 0.085" deflection. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Chronicling my journey into lutherie as a first time guitar builder. Finally, its HERE! View my complete profile. Sunday, September 30, 2007. We were out of town this weekend, but before we left I managed to clamp the sides in the mold. I clamped each one in separately since they need to be trimmed before they will both fit at the same time. Thursday, September 27, 2007. Finally, it's HERE! The rest of the stuff looks great. I especially like the macassar ebony fingerboard. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Chronicling my journey into lutherie as a first time guitar builder. View my complete profile. Wednesday, October 7, 2009. I've been busy. My last post entitled Thanksgiving pictures. We were meeting in a middle school. the weekly unloading and loading was time consuming and made regular ministries more difficult. So the...
