Cricket & More: Living the World Cup
http://pushkarsblog.blogspot.com/2011/02/living-world-cup.html
The Optimist's view on Indian Cricket and Life. Saturday, February 19, 2011. Living the World Cup. Man am I in for some fun or what? The menu arrived and the prices were prohibitive - I got myself a beer and decided to nurse it through the inning. The beer nursed me through the collapse. 190 odd and indeed we were in trouble. It was time for dinner though - remember the prohibitive prices I spoke about? The Indian team paid back today for one bad day in Double Decker in Dubai. Nothing short of winnin...

Cricket & More: November 2010
http://pushkarsblog.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
The Optimist's view on Indian Cricket and Life. Monday, November 15, 2010. Cell phone companies probably have a different profit booking code for festivals and new year what with the mass smsing that happens. And on those days sms inboxes are full to the brim with the warm wishes of many well wishers. The phone with the advent of mobile phone has been replaced by the sms. And the art of mass forwarding. Yeah - i guess I am old fashioned. Whats your story? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I also write for.

Riaan's Ramblings: February 2007
http://riaanrodrigues.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
This is an individual's attempt to make sense of random movements, thoughts and words of other individuals like myself.so needless to say, I will be simply rambling about some nonsense on most ocassions. Words are not given to a man to conceal his thoughts". Monday, February 12, 2007. But the latter is wrong. all wrong. What I found was absolutely astonishing! Begins.Apparntly the church of Persia turned to Nestorianism in 800 AD.The question is.what happened to the christians in the NK? Friar Jordanus vi...

Cricket & More: April 2013
http://pushkarsblog.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
The Optimist's view on Indian Cricket and Life. Wednesday, April 24, 2013. Almost 23 years of the stadiums going "Sachhhinnn, Saaaachiinnn" at the drop of a hat. The pure unadulterated joy at the second Indian wicket going down in a Test inning. Because that heralded the arrival of the man everyone was there to see and to shower with adulation and adoration. Because he was The Player. But in that grimace, was my realisation that the era had ended. Maybe all that was left was a few good shots as the c...

Cricket & More: December 2010
http://pushkarsblog.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
The Optimist's view on Indian Cricket and Life. Thursday, December 16, 2010. He was at the crossroads with the decision looming large. He could possibly not put it off any more. The choice had to be made. Would he follow his dream and go for the glory - to play cricket at the highest possible level - or would he take the other route and fade away into the sunset? To take a shot at his dream - it would mean that he would have to take risks. The risk of making a fool of himself, the risk of failing and...

Bouts of action: April 2012
http://thedopetimes.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 1, 2012. Amritsar and Dharamsala - backpacking adventure! It was a lazy Thursday morning thanks to 4 days of planned time-off (Thur-Fri and Mon-Tue) in anticipation of a trip to Dharamsala with my cousin, Hari. We hadn't made ANY bookings whatsoever, and the holiday itself was upon us. Frantically, we started a search for flights to Chandigarh and pretty much all flights were full. The tickets which were. Of us, starting the same evening! 1000 rs per head to get to Jalandhar in an AC bus ri...

Bouts of action: Eurotrip 3.0: Pisa...
http://thedopetimes.blogspot.com/2013/05/eurotrip-30-pisa.html
Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Eurotrip 3.0: Pisa. The drive from Rome all the way upto Pisa was a tiring one. While it’s on most tourist itineraries, it was forcibly on ours as a single drive all the way up to Monaco would have been too tough to do. We dropped by the leaning tower in the morning, and it was utterly unimpressive after the grandeur of Rome and the Vatican. After the usual pics of holding up the tower, leaning against it, etc., we were off! Next stop, Monaco! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Bouts of action: May 2013
http://thedopetimes.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Eurotrip 3.0 : Monaco and Cannes! As we, the weary travelers, drove out of Pisa and by and through the Cinque Terre, the Italian and French Riviera, we were treated to some of the best views in any stretch of road in the world. So good in fact, that we were re-energized for the chequered flag of our journey, the last 3 days in Monaco, Cannes & finally in Milan. After filling our tummies with some more pasta and wine, we veritably crashed in our beds! We took a walk by the beach an...
