Was made by the French instrument makers Dubois and Casse. And carries their trademark logo of the letters 'D' 'C'. Either side of a fouled anchor, stamped on the back of the brass case. Not only have these beome much sought after for their collectable value, but they are still put to practical use by many seafarers, due to the build quality and high specification.
