Rural Catharsis: September 2014
http://ruralcatharsis.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Figuring out life as it is now, in this place, one step at a time. Wednesday, September 3, 2014. The world is getting bigger. I gave him a huge hug and told him we'd go out for lunch when he was all done his first day. "I want to go to Wendy's." Anywhere you'd like, kid. I couldn't get to the coffee shop fast enough. Why is it so comforting to hold onto a cup of coffee? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. 1 Eat a macaron. 2 Go on girl's trip. 3 Go back to New Orlean's without kids.

Rural Catharsis: July 2013
http://ruralcatharsis.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Figuring out life as it is now, in this place, one step at a time. Saturday, July 27, 2013. It's been a hard few days. Today marks the one year anniversary of my Dad's death. Unfortunately, it's actually a three day even because there's the day he had his accident, the day we waited to hear about what organs he'd be able to donate and then finally, today, when he was taken off the machines. Tuesday, July 2, 2013. Less than a month until my pilgrimage. I have no idea what it is going to be like to tra...

http://ruralcatharsis.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Figuring out life as it is now, in this place, one step at a time. Saturday, April 27, 2013. I went next door and spoke with the store owner. I told her something was drawing me to that picture and that I wanted it but I didn't have the money right. She told me for $5 down, it is mine and I can pay as I can until I reach the total. No time limit. "You should have an emotional experience when you buy a piece of art.". Thursday, April 25, 2013. Yesterday was my 35th birthday. I wasn't looking forward t...

Rural Catharsis: November 2013
http://ruralcatharsis.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Figuring out life as it is now, in this place, one step at a time. Wednesday, November 27, 2013. Thankful for the hard times and what they will teach me. We've been hit with a snowstorm about a month earlier than is the norm for this part of the country. I love the beauty of snow . how it covers everything in a soft blanket as it sleeps, waiting for the spring. It sparkles and as my daughter keeps reminding me, it surrounds us with snow fairies that we can see only if we believe. Friday, November 1, 2013.

Figuring out life as it is now, in this place, one step at a time. Friday, August 30, 2013. Chance of a Lifetime. When I was finishing up my Bachelor's degree and thinking about the next step, my voice instructor asked me if I wanted to pursue a career in performance. I remember saying that I never wanted to be the mom who isn't home for my kid's birthday. A dear friend of mine is offering me a chance of a lifetime. Airfare, accommodation and retreat fees covered for this. Sunday, August 18, 2013. 2 Go o...

Rural Catharsis: Trusting the world with My Girl
http://ruralcatharsis.blogspot.com/2014/10/trusting-world-with-my-girl.html
Figuring out life as it is now, in this place, one step at a time. Tuesday, October 14, 2014. Trusting the world with My Girl. It is hard trying to trust my girl in the world when I can't always be there to hold her hand. She's doing so well at school and having to keep to her schedule has really helped me get more done because I have less time to sit around when I'm bored. It has been really good for all of us. It's like she's always known how.) and math. I didn't do that until I was in Grade 1! 11 Eat ...
