Just another WordPress.com site. October 2, 2010. 8216;If it looks good, eat it’.*. This is all about food. Anything that takes my fancy will appear here. There will be an emphasis on things that most people won’t eat. I’m really good at eating, but I have a lot to learn about cooking and food photography. I hope you’ll join me in my journey. Drums, Audio, Chaos, and Premature Nostalgia. Thursday, January 20, 2011. De ja vu, Tense Times and Awful Puns. Right Down to business. You want awful punnage? Try these on for size (don't actually, I've used them and that's yucky, so you'll have to get your own.):. Yes, I know, the text is backwards - you'll be ok with that though, right! I bought these yesterday at a pharmacy thinking three things:. The pounding head-cold isn't likely to help either. Anyway, yesterday was my birthday. 'twas a good ...

Coat of Arms (emu and kangaroo) Pie | just edible

Just another WordPress.com site. Duck tongues →. Coat of Arms (emu and kangaroo) Pie. June 7, 2011. The emu meat came diced and frozen. I browned the kangaroo mince, an onion and the emu meat in olive oil in a pan. At this stage the emu meat broke up into smaller pieces, not much bigger than the mince. I then put it all in a slow cooker with water, and cooked it for 3 hours on high, at which stage it was all beautifully tender and tasty. It looked almost too good to cut and eat! And tagged bush tucker.

Just another WordPress.com site. Newer posts →. Rolled pig’s spleen. August 12, 2011. The spleens were then placed in a casserole dish, covered with chicken stock and into a medium oven for 90 minutes. They were then left to cool in the stock before slicing and serving cold. Sydney rock oysters vs Pacific oysters. July 31, 2011. I have to say, I wouldn’t mind at all being an oyster taste tester, I rarely buy them, and when I eat them I wonder why I don’t do it more often. I love oysters! July 26, 2011.

Chicken and pork, a chiporken? | just edible
https://justedible.wordpress.com/2012/12/28/2947
Just another WordPress.com site. Chicken and pork, a chiporken? December 28, 2012. A couple of years ago I cooked a turducken. Next I wrapped this in my favourite smokey bacon,. Then put it in the large chicken,. And sewed it up. But it sure looked good from the top! It wasn’t as tasty as the turducken, but was pretty good, certainly an improvement on plain chicken. And if I do it again, well definitely at least twice as much bacon wrapped around the inside bird. This entry was posted in Meat dishes.

Camel pie | just edible

Just another WordPress.com site. Chicken and pork, a chiporken? July 7, 2012. So, what’s my point? This is a food blog after all. My point is, with all these camels roaming the country, eating native vegetation, damaging waterways, knocking down fences, colliding with cars etc. why is it so hard to buy camel meat? Well, finally, after a year-long quest, a local butcher got in some camel mince and sausages. I missed out on the sausages this time, but there was one pack of mince left. And tagged bush tucker.

pegasusgiraffe: Dunedin Fringe Fest
http://pegasusgiraffe.blogspot.com/2011/03/dunedin-fringe-fest.html
Talkin' about life and everything in between. Monday, March 21, 2011. Took a long weekend trip to Dunedin in the NZ South Island, March 18th-20th. Mainly wanted an excuse to go to Dunedin because I've never been, and wanted to explore the Scottish heritage. Scene ('Dunedin' is the Gaelic name for 'Edinburgh'). The timing converged to go check out their Fringe Festival. So I planned my trip around that! A few weeks ago, which I enjoyed quite a lot! But I dropped off my stuff off, then strolled into the ci...
