Scott Thybony Fieldnotes
Photo by Dave Edwards. And then you bring the rough notes back, decipher the scrawls, and find a line through the chaos. A story takes shape. Some notes get translated into print, while others disappear into the files. Over time the pile of words grows until you realize you're living on a midden. That's when the instincts of an archeologist kick in. HEADS-UP - click here for new entries. 2007 Scott Thybony, website designed by Zone 2.

SCOTT TIMBERG ON WEST COAST CULTURE AND BEYOND. Wednesday, February 5, 2014. MY ardor for and fascination with the West Coast are undiminished. But recently I've put most of my blogging energies into my new project, CultureCrash. Scott Timberg on Creative Destruction. It's part of the ArtsJournal family, and I began it on the invitation of the site's founder, Doug McLennan. These are crucial issues that I'll get into more deeply into my book, which comes out on Yale University Press later this year.
