Has become one of my favorite author's over the past two years. I picked up a copy of his The Diamond Age or, a Young Lady's Illustrated Primer. While I was in Rome. Not sure how a copy of that ended up in some used paperback news stand in Italy, but it caught my eye and hooked me as a solid fan of Stephenson. . The King of the Vagabonds.

Everything was perfectly clear, and I never got confused, but I found the writing style really grating, even for a novel that (I think) could be classified as a young adult novel, though I realize it is not marketed as one. .
