The objective of the Homer A. and Mildred S. Scott Foundation is to provide charitable grants to worthy tax-exempt organizations that exclusively carry on religious, charitable, scientific, literary, or educational activities. Grants will be made only to organizations that are tax-exempt as defined in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and which are not private foundations as defined in Section 509 of the Code. The Foundation’s fiscal year runs March 1-February 28. Trustees consider grant proposals during their quarterly meetings, usually held in April (1st Q), July, October, and January. Proposal deadline is generally six weeks prior to the quarterly meeting dates. We encourage you to contact the Foundation office at 307-672-1440. Or jenny.craft@fib.com.
