Wednesday, August 17, 2005. Our journey started out in one of Ty’s favorite places McDonalds. The best part to me was that McDonalds there actually makes startlingly drinkable coffee. The best part for Ty was that the sinks in the bathroom were not just automatic with the water as we’re used to, but had automatic dryers right there at the faucet as well. Sunday, August 21, 2005. We walked past St. Giles, where, sadly, the funeral of former Foreign Minister Robin Cook was taking place, and down to Greyfriars Abbey to photograph some of the things we’d seen on the cemetery tour, like Greyfriars Bobby’s statue, headstone, etc. Ty adores the story, which he had us read to him.
