Scottish Superheroes: Graphic Scotland

http://www.scottishsuperheroes.com/2012/08/graphic-scotland.html

The occasional ramblings of Edinburgh-based writer Kirsti Wishart. One of the pleasing spin-offs of the Story Shop day came about whilst waiting in the queue for the Grant Morrison event later that evening. There I got chatting to Ariadne Cass-Maran. This was a Good Thing because it meant I got to tell her in person how great the story was that she read at the wonderful Illicit Ink. Show at Unbound the other night and also because she asked me to write a blog entry for her website, Graphic Scotland.

Scottish Superheroes: Stories

http://www.scottishsuperheroes.com/p/stories.html

The occasional ramblings of Edinburgh-based writer Kirsti Wishart. The occasional ramblings of Edinburgh-based writer Kirsti Wishart. Well hello there, thanks for dropping by! At the moment this website is pretty much a work-in-progress (bear with me as I actually get used to the idea of actually. Enjoyable stage of redrafting. First draft done, now going back through it to make it readable. Six pages done on Monday, yay! Only about 327 to go. But in fairness, I have been distracted by my impending appearance at Story Shop. 27 August 2012 at 05:57. A Son of the Rock.

Imagining joys and pains. After years of writing technical documents I’m turning my hand back to fiction. Despite my attempts to be nice, unexpected and often unpleasant things happen to my characters. They live in a more interesting world than mine and sometimes I envy them. (And then something happens to them that makes me grateful to be safe and sound in a flat in Edinburgh.). If you’re intersted in my writing, you’ll find some under the STORY. Category on this site. Imagining joys and pains. Reading your own work: cringing and grinning. Written by carolinevon in Story. Asymp; 0 comments. I read one of my own stories the other day. I was editing the Read Me. Page and saw a link to a Christmas story I didn’t remember writing. So I read it. At first, there was cringing.
