Wildlife Watching from East Scotland and holiday destinations. Newer posts →. I was lucky enough to have the local Great-Spotted Woodpeckers nest in the trees at the back of my garden this year and got close views as I watched the male chick repeatedly pop its head out of the hole as the parents flitted back and forth. It fledged successfully and I still see him pop by to the fatballs occasionally. On the 7th I managed to have a walk round the Lurgies while volunteering in search of a Garganey which had ...

http://nextgenerationbirders.blogspot.com/2015/07/ngb-patchwork-challenge-june-2015.html
Sunday, 26 July 2015. NGB Patchwork Challenge - June 2015. A very quiet month in the NGB league thanks to a mixture of people forgetting to submit their scores and many patchers being away from patches at their universities. There's no change in the top 3 in the comparative league with the top 2 both being away from patch for the entire month. July sees migration starting up again so expect a few higher scores coming in this league in the next couple of months. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Zac Hin...

Saturday, 20 June 2015. NGB Patchwork Challenge - May 2015. James Common remains in pole position in the NGB comparative league thanks to a May clearing up on the later returning migrants at Stobswood including Wood Sandpiper and Garden Warbler. He is the first person in the league to break the 100% barrier, a great effort considering more than half the year is left! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Donate to Team NGB.
