a sweet life: finally. . .snow

http://www.scrapnchar.blogspot.com/2012/01/finally-snow.html

Finally. . .snow. Mother nature finally came through over the weekend with some REAL SNOW! Insert angels singing here.). J and I drove up. Saturday morning. I usually sleep for the first couple hours, but I was so excited about the snow I could hardly sleep. And we weren't the only ones hungering for some fresh powder, we saw a more than few cars (with skis and boards) heading the same direction as us. It was so beautiful! Keep praying for (more) snow! a sweet life: February 2012

http://www.scrapnchar.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Put the finishing touches on it a couple weekends while I half watched/listened to Super Bowl 46, but only got around to editing the pictures a couple nights ago. The majority of the products are from an old Cocoa Daisy. Kit of which I don't remember the name; the rest are from my stash that I am more than happy to deplete. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). a sweet life: May 2011

http://www.scrapnchar.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

As we enjoy our hot dogs, macaroni salad and apple pie. . . Let us remember the men and women who have died in the safekeeping of our country. Thank you for your sacrifice. Have a wonderful Memorial Day! My crazy, ridiculous to do list. Green highlighting means very important, needs to be done this week. Red box means that it really needs to be done this week. Red line drawn through the task means "done". Happy 1st Birthday to my sweet niece, Miss H! Looking forward to the. Hope you have a great weekend!

a sweet life: October 2011

http://www.scrapnchar.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

This year I gave up giving out candy because with commuting we just don't get home early enough. By the time we normally get home it's just the teenagers who scare the living you know what out of me. The upside: no candy! No, this is not our lunch for the week (although this would more than make up for not having any Halloween candy! It was supposed to be for a potluck at Jay's work, but he conveniently "forgot". This is my go to dessert because it easy and simple. 1 cup chopped pecans. 1/2 C dark rum.

Biomaj5: Scarfing along

http://iambiomaj5.blogspot.com/2012/09/scarfing-along.html

I love to knit, and I like to talk. So, I blog. Monday, September 10, 2012. I started a new scarf. Is a lengthwise linen stitch scarf (not to be confused with linen yarn lol). I'm knitting it with my only skein of Anothercraftygirl's. Strong sock yarn, in the Hideous Zippleback colorway. I originally started it on August 14, but I made a mistake and knit the same row twice after about 6 rows, thus giving the scarf a border. Here it is, as of last Wednesday:. Labels: FO24 in 2012. I think. Double-chec...

Biomaj5: The Ravellenics are over

http://iambiomaj5.blogspot.com/2014/03/the-ravellenics-are-over.html

I love to knit, and I like to talk. So, I blog. Sunday, March 2, 2014. The Ravellenics are over. So the Ravellenics are finally over. Just like last time, I barely missed the deadline (by 35 mins this time). My project was Saroyan. I wanted a longer scarf, so I added 10 extra repeats to the straight section in the middle. Despite staying up until 3am on Saturday night, adding the extra length cost me a medal. Oh well. I like the way it turned out. I also finished Roar. The shawl looks amazing too! Lace a...

Biomaj5: April 2014

http://iambiomaj5.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html

I love to knit, and I like to talk. So, I blog. Tuesday, April 1, 2014. Last weekend was my 6th year to attend the DFW Fiber Fest with 2 of my friends. We had a fantastic time, as always! Was the Friday night speaker, but unfortunately we didn't buy tickets because everyone's budgets were a little tight this year (hello, new road bike. lol.) This is what I came home with:. The skein on the left is Western Sky Knits Magnolia Luxe. Because I think the construction is cute. So far, it's going well. ...Black...

Biomaj5: September 2014

http://iambiomaj5.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

I love to knit, and I like to talk. So, I blog. Monday, September 8, 2014. So I've been quite the slacker on the blogging front, but that's nothing new. I decided in early August that I wanted to do some colorwork, and after a lot of flip-flopping and ravelry pattern searches, I decided on the Lotus Mittens. Grey: Tempted Fiesty Grrl in Lost. Green: Madelinetosh Tosh Sock in Jade. Purple: Malabrigo Sock in Violeta Africana. And I like that better than the cuff in the pattern. I think that I will end up s...

http://iambiomaj5.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html

I love to knit, and I like to talk. So, I blog. Saturday, February 2, 2013. I should probably be charged with neglect. I have been horrible about blogging lately. I've been super busy and haven't really knit very much. I have finished 2 projects since the last time I posted. I finished the Cerus scarf. I really really like it. It's hard to get a decent picture of it though. Here it is, back in its WIP stage:. I also knit a scarf. For my best friend Katie for Christmas. The pattern is Almost Ovals. I've f...

Biomaj5: October 2013

http://iambiomaj5.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html

I love to knit, and I like to talk. So, I blog. Friday, October 11, 2013. As I stated on my running blog, I suck at blogging. I've given up on keeping track of everything I've knitted, which isn't much lately, btw. I have a full-time job, I'm marathon training, and I started an ASL interpreter program in August. My time is incredibly limited right now, but I love being busy. I start to go a little bit crazy if I'm not busy. I made a second Cerus scarf. Bigger on the Inside. I started a Carlina. Stacked E...

Biomaj5: The 2014 Ravellenic Games started today!

http://iambiomaj5.blogspot.com/2014/02/the-2014-ravellenic-games-started-today.html

I love to knit, and I like to talk. So, I blog. Friday, February 7, 2014. The 2014 Ravellenic Games started today! I'm captaining Team Sprout for the 3rd time. This year, I'm in school, so I'm not going to try an ambitious project. I should have more time than I did in 2012 though (I was working 2 full-time jobs at the time). I've decided to do Saroyan. I'm going to use my Madtosh Tosh Merino Light in Betty Draper's Blues. The color is the most accurate in the first picture. I really like how it turn...

Scrapalicious

Sunday, June 14, 2009. Okforgot to mention-the footpull at The Yardhouse was counter-productive. That was the funny part. Great concept. However, the door weighed a TON and NONE of us could pull it open with our foot. So, you would have to use your hand on the door to brace yourself to pull with your foot-defeats the purpose. Good concept though.need a lighter door, however. Just had birthday number 37! Went out to dinner at P.J's Abbey (yum! Saw about 6 teenagers being written up by the Police at the Sp...

Thursday, July 30, 2009. Did a little more altering in the past couple of days for our room. This is another kit that I won at a crop awhile back, and it came with it's own paper, but I used mine instead to make it match a little better in my room. Just Mod Podged it like normal. It didn't take too long. And then I did the clothespin too. Not too hard. And aren't Blake and Luke adorable. Man, it was forever ago! Friday, July 24, 2009. Who says scrapbooking is only for scrapbooks? I like how it turned out.
