http://myboysandlifeathome.blogspot.com/2012/07/fourth-of-july-recap-and-beach-day-day.html
A day by day account of my life with 3 young boys. Friday, July 6, 2012. Fourth of july recap and beach day : day 5. We cooked on the grill, like thousands of others around the country. It was HOT so it was nice not having to turn on the oven. I made some veggie burgers, roasted veggies (I still have turnips! And this quinoa salad. We did fireworks and we had the best ones yet! Sorry, no pictures of the day other than the quinoa. I was enjoying myself too much to take pictures. About midway in the pictur...

My Boys and Life At Home: June 2011
http://myboysandlifeathome.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
A day by day account of my life with 3 young boys. Thursday, June 2, 2011. My salad of the moment. Oh my, the crunchy, seared tempeh was just so yummy. And, the veggies were bright green, while the tomatoes were warmed just enough. It was really just what I envisioned. Imagine that! After I ran out of asparagus, I decided to buy brussel sprouts because I love them so! And, I think I may like this version better. Why? Because the brussel sprouts get nice and charred and are just so delicious! I did my bes...

My Boys and Life At Home: November 2011
http://myboysandlifeathome.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
A day by day account of my life with 3 young boys. Tuesday, November 8, 2011. Actually, I think all. Kids are drawn to puddles. I wasn't really in the mood for a full day like today. The boys have been getting up early because of the time change.they have yet to adjust. As a result they've been a bit on the cranky and irritable side.not so fun. But, one of these mornings they won't. Get up at 5:30. Hopefully tomorrow is that morning. It's a good feeling. Onto the meals for the day. I made this one with o...

My Boys and Life At Home: September 2011
http://myboysandlifeathome.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
A day by day account of my life with 3 young boys. Thursday, September 29, 2011. The Story of Matthew's Birth. TMI alert: This is a birthing story. Even though I don't get very graphic in my description I do talk about vomiting, dilating, and breast feeding. Consider yourselves warned. I was given saline, had a test for bladder infection, and then given a chance to relax and let the saline get into my system to hopefully slow things down. My contractions weren't very close or consistent, but they wer...

My Boys and Life At Home: August 2013
http://myboysandlifeathome.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
A day by day account of my life with 3 young boys. Thursday, August 29, 2013. Farm fresh corn is plentiful here in the summer. We have a farm just up the street that grows the best sweet corn I've ever had. I freeze it and put it into different recipes but mostly enjoy it straight from the cob. Tonight I made one of our favorite recipes, Corn Risotto. So tonight, in order to please everyone, I omitted the green onion (gasp! The result was deliciousness without complaining! Can't complain about that.

My Boys and Life At Home: January 2012
http://myboysandlifeathome.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
A day by day account of my life with 3 young boys. Tuesday, January 31, 2012. A good site, a bad site and some cookies. Somehow I overlooked a pen that was in Chris' pants and it exploded in our dryer. I say "overlooked" but in actuality, I haven't been checking pants pockets.I guess I've gotten lazy. Another beautiful site: oatmeal raisin cookies. A long phone call meant no time to make my soup that I was planning on making. Nor did I have time to do my yoga class. Monday, January 30, 2012. We had our s...

My Boys and Life At Home: December 2011
http://myboysandlifeathome.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
A day by day account of my life with 3 young boys. Thursday, December 1, 2011. We have breakfast for dinner quite often. When I first started it, the boys thought it was hilarious. Breakfast. Now, it's their favorite dinner. It's great for me because I usually don't have to pick up anything specific at the store, I almost always have all the ingredients on hand. And I can pre-measure my dry ingredients in the afternoon so dinner comes together quicker in the end. For my waffles I used Isa Moskowitz's.

My Boys and Life At Home: April 2012
http://myboysandlifeathome.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
A day by day account of my life with 3 young boys. Monday, April 30, 2012. I've been gone for a while. Not for any big reason, it's just been a bit busy. We're always busy. There are piano lessons, cello lessons, play dates, tea dates, grocery shopping, a husband who travels, outside playing, and now we've added soccer to the mix. Saturday night I was happy to stay in. As fun as it is to go out, it's equally as nice to stay in after a couple of late nights out. Well, her new cookbook Let Them Eat Vegan!

http://myboysandlifeathome.blogspot.com/2012/07/summer-fun-and-challenge-hilights.html
A day by day account of my life with 3 young boys. Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Summer fun and challenge hilights. Summertime, summertime, sum, sum, summertime. We have been enjoying our summer and I hear we are over half way through with our summer. Boo! Here is a short review of what we've been up to the past couple of weeks. Photos are taken from my iPhone. Cherry Festival was the first week in July. The festival kicked off with an airshow. We found our spot on the beach and stayed most of the day. We li...

My Boys and Life At Home: July 2011
http://myboysandlifeathome.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
A day by day account of my life with 3 young boys. Saturday, July 9, 2011. It's been a month now since the boys have been off for summer vacation. And boy have we been busy! This is our first summer in our new house and we're loving it up here. We're exploring all over Northern Michigan and for me, it's like re-discovering these hidden gems. We saw some trillium growing in the woods. And enjoyed the covered bridge. Some of the dunes. This is where my heart skipped a beat. So, that's all for today. I'...
