Boomer At Large: August 2013
http://boomeratlarge.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
One Baby Boomer's View of Life, Memories, and God. Sometimes funny. Sunday, August 25, 2013. Yesterday I had a great time rockin’ with friends. After yoga yesterday (and that’s another topic) some of the girls said they were headed to nearby Brown’s Berry Patch farm market to have coffee and set a spell on the rocking chairs provided on the porch. This appealed to me a lot. I loved the Mayberry Moment.

One Baby Boomer's View of Life, Memories, and God. Sometimes funny. Wednesday, December 19, 2012. I’m Too Old For Weekends. Every Thursday the daily newspaper includes a special supplement called Weekend. It’s full of articles and listings of things to do in and around the city on the weekend. I used to look forward to opening those pages and seeing what I might be interested in. Last Thursday I opened the Weekend supplement and the first article was about a rapper by the name of Flo Rida (get it? The de...

http://guilie-castillo-oriard.blogspot.com/2015/08/botb-results-for-big-yellow-taxi-joni.html
Quiet Laughter. Musings and stories on blurred cultural boundaries. The Miracle of Small Things. A Novel in Stories, A Tour in Blogs. My Fiction, Out In The World. Friday, August 7, 2015. BoTB Results for Big Yellow Taxi: Joni or the Crows? Well, well. I didn't expect such a wide margin. Really? Or is it 2:1? Joni Mitchell, indisputable winner of this battle. (Which, by the way, I'm sure Counting Crows would concede. They'd be totally cool with it.). Final tally, just to rub it in:. See you on the 15th!

Quiet Laughter. Musings and stories on blurred cultural boundaries. The Miracle of Small Things. A Novel in Stories, A Tour in Blogs. My Fiction, Out In The World. There is no worse nostalgia than to yearn for what never happened. The past never dies, but hope does. One summer back in 1995, Alexia faced some unexpected choices, a situation that seemed simple, almost frivolous. But it changed her life forever. For the better, the worse? It doesn't matter, because it's done- it's past. The paradise we expe...
