a stranger in a strange land: August 2015
http://astrangerintheearth.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
A stranger in a strange land. Saturday, August 22, 2015. Good Bye, Old, Plaid Sofa. My parents bought this sofa soon after they got married. It was moved to the basement many years ago. In a few hours there will be a few new pieces of furniture arriving upstairs and this relic is not needed (or wanted) in the basement. Can you still buy sleeper sofas like this one? I can't say anyone will miss them. Even as a child I could hardly sleep on such a sloping, lumpy bed. A stranger in a strange land.

a stranger in a strange land: April 2014
http://astrangerintheearth.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
A stranger in a strange land. Sunday, April 13, 2014. Winter is over and past. At least it will be soon. I cringed a bit when I saw there is snow in the forecast for Tuesday night. The daffodils promise that summer is coming. I doubt I have ever been so excited about green grass. Yesterday I joined friends for a hike/walk along the Susquehanna River. Of course the water looked cold and the trees were bare, but the feeling of warm sun on skin was lovely. A stranger in a strange land. Life Through My Eyes.

http://astrangerintheearth.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
A stranger in a strange land. Thursday, July 24, 2014. 6 meals = 18 items. Today I was ordering lunch for myself and five children at Wendy's. As I ordered each item the cashier asked, "Is that everything? Later the manager came by to ask if everything was O.K. and check if the youngest two children were filling their hollow legs. Needless to say he did not get a reply from either child. I thought he was lucky to get smiles. The others were running too much to get individual shots. Sunday, July 6, 2014.

a stranger in a strange land: January 2014
http://astrangerintheearth.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
A stranger in a strange land. Wednesday, January 22, 2014. In Case You Missed It. It's COLD and SNOWY! For all the consoling comments last summer about having mild winters lately and not every winter being that bad, it's one of the coldest and quite snowy and icy as well. This time, being at the north end of the county, meant less snow instead of the usual additional inches. We got about 5 inches yesterday. There is still ice on the inside corners of my bedroom windows. May spring arrive quickly! Family ...

A stranger in a strange land. Saturday, February 28, 2015. All the Excitement Lands on One Day. On Wednesday we had our Book character dress-up day at school.
