I think that a person’s personal learning network changes throughout life and that different components are emphasized depending on what tasks or goals they are working on at any particular time. For example, as a child, I expect that I spent a great deal more time within the “people” component of my learning map and relied less heavily on formal resources. My learning was more focused on the experience and the people that could provide guidance to accomplish particular tasks.

During this week’s study, we spent a significant amount of time learning about information processing theory and how the brain and learning can happen. Dr Ormrod, in her video “Information Processing and Problem Solving” focused on the three cognitive processes involved in problem solving.
