Welcome to the Inn at Strawbery Banke - About Portsmouth
http://www.innatstrawberybanke.com/about.htm
Originally located in 1623, the town was settled in 1630 and known as Strawbery Banke. Situated on high ground at the mouth of navigable rivers, it prospered as a seafaring town and the center of commerce for the area and in 1653 was renamed Portsmouth. Because of our unique location, all of these are at most a few blocks stroll from the inn. Pubs, taverns and great restaurants all abound-just around the corner. Http:/ www.strawberybanke.org.
