During the trials some things solicited for modification:. Jib sheets need clamcleats, over the coaming, like Spartina. Jib sheets get caught behind the outer cleats I placed on the deck. These cleats need to be moved inward to prevent this. The mizzen sheet cleat needs a fairlead so that I don't loose the sheet overboard. Saturday, November 29, 2014.

I chose to install blocks such that the sheet ran smoothly and straight into the cam cleats. Drilled two 2 cm holes, also in the 1cm ply backplate. Then glued backplate and filled hole with thickened epoxy. Sand, fair and paint. Then drill holes for bolts:. Installed bolts with large washers. This will not go anywhere. Monday, May 18, 2015. Pathfinder (designed by John Welsford). Sunday, July 5, 2015. Seagull center seat fit. Fitted the port inner gunwale after making the aft knees from pitch pine 1 inch thick stock. I used carton to make a simple template for them. To keep the gunwale in its place i used the new Ryobi nailer tool. Claps for the pressure in combination of a nail or two to prevent moving. I have been asking around what setup would be better to sail with and my sailmaker Stuart Hopkins of Dabbler Sails. I was at a favorite hangout place very quickly with the main. She powers the boat much better than the jib and mizzen does. I think she may also run much higher because the sail's better profile compared to the jib. Sail Aruba part 2.
