Wednesday, July 27, 2011. Not too much here to get excited about, but after four years of collecting dust (I know cuz I blogged. About it when I bought the book in July 2007), I finally pulled a how-to-crochet book off my shelf and did it. I crocheted an almost square. We'll call it a dishcloth. It was fun to use a different technique. a bit addicting even. So, please, if you have a favorite dishcloth/hot pad pattern, let me know! I may want to do a bit more of this. . Links to this post. I was reminded...

Stitches With Sass: March 2011
http://stitcheswithsass.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 14, 2011. Right from childhood, I have had a thing for blue. If you look in my closet, you will see that most of my clothing is some shade of blue. (I'm a blue jeans and t-shirt kind of gal! Many of my knitting projects are some shade of blue, a majority of my quilting projects have included blue, and if I thought my husband would let me, I'd paint a number of the rooms in our house, some shade of blue. I have boys that have blue eyes (Thank you God! Posted by Knittin' Diva.

Stitches With Sass: June 2011
http://stitcheswithsass.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 7, 2011. Getting Lost In The Green. May was the month for green around, in many more ways than one. Our new green colorways proved to be a big hit, so the dye pots were kept busy. At the same time, we have been diligently working on our garden, and before we knew it, May had come and went. Burgundy Grapes (left) quickly became a favorite for many, and we couldn't be more excited. Posted by Knittin' Diva. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). DC Modern Quilt Guild. Getting Lost In The Green.

Stitches With Sass: Let The Fun Begin
http://stitcheswithsass.blogspot.com/2011/04/let-fun-begin.html
Friday, April 1, 2011. Let The Fun Begin. In January, February and March, we explored the 3 primary colors (red, blue and yellow) as part of our Celebration of Color. We also learned about the differences between shade, tint, tone and pure color. Be sure to watch the blog, as we explore the color orange over the next 4 weeks, and the bad rap it gets. Maybe our exploration will help you see orange in a new way. Posted by Knittin' Diva. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). DC Modern Quilt Guild.

http://tammyknits.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 24, 2011. The Last Thing I Need. Some time ago. so long ago that I don't even remember when. I pre-ordered Soctupus. By Alice Yu. I love a good surprise, but I really haven't been knitting socks lately so my first thought when it arrived this morning was that it was going straight back. Because seriously, the last thing I need is another sock pattern book. I almost had the willpower to not even look inside. Almost. But I did. and, well, it's a keeper. Big time. Links to this post. Friday,...

Life in the Spin Cycle: Camp Loopy Project 3: Vitamin D
http://tammyknits.blogspot.com/2011/08/camp-loopy-project-3-vitamin-d.html
Monday, August 29, 2011. Camp Loopy Project 3: Vitamin D. Project 3 challenged us to knit a project using at least 800 yards of yarn in one month. My first thought. "Yikes! But the prize. Wollmeise. So I started searching for a pattern. And searching. In what turned out to be less than 2 weeks (special thanks again to Doctor Who), I present my Madelinetsoh "Ink" Vitamin D. And I love it! It's very soft and reminds me of a lightweight denim jacket. Awesome job. I hate when swatches tell you wrong. Learnin...

Adventures in knitting and crocheting and internet addiction to both. Saturday, January 11, 2014. I've been working on this for awhile, but I'm finally getting to the point that I can put some of it together:. This is how it starts. I've got 56 blocks so far. 28 woven and 28 crocheted. That's why I call it a multi-media afghan! This was the next batch put together. You can see our cat, Mouser, checking out my work. I don't think she approves. Maybe I should let her pick out the squares!

Some time ago and Catherine (my pattern angel! Had it sized and tech edited for me and it's now available at the stores that sell her yarn. And trust me. her yarn is AWESOME! Her colors have just a little bit of change, almost like shadows and it's sooooo soft! I love working with both her and her yarn!
