crude crafts: Mid Summer Night's Draw
http://crudecrafts.blogspot.com/2014/06/mid-summer-nights-draw.html
Friday, June 27, 2014. Mid Summer Night's Draw. Well, hello my poor neglected little blog. The last couple year's have been a roller coaster of life changes and new challenges. It's taken a long time but I am finally in a position to create some consistency in my life that will enable me to start being a PRACTICING artist again. Those of you creative sorts out there, makers of all sorts will understand me when I say there's a particular kind of cranky you get when you are kept from working for too long.

crude crafts: July 2012
http://crudecrafts.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 20, 2012. I've become a terrible blogger. In the last year I've only posted about 5 times. Sigh, I suppose this is what happens when you decide to go back to school part-time and still try to work as many jobs as you did before. But fear not friends, Crude Crafts not only still exists but is still a production machine! This Saturday, July 28th I hope you will stop by The Western New York Book Arts Center Buffalo BookFest! 10am until 5pm on Saturday, July 28, 2012. Because you heart handmade!

December 1, 2010 7:38 pm. This fall I took a six week class at the Textile Center to learn the basics of bobbin lace. Bobbin lace is technically a type of weaving, but it is done with pairs of bobbins and pins instead of the traditional warp, weft and shuttles. The Snake was our first project and used 7 pairs of bobbins. Check out those beady eyes! Our next two projects were exploring the half stitch and the cloth stitch. Our last project was some delicate nursery lace. June 12, 2010 9:42 pm. It’s ...

dear brothers and sisters: Cozy and sweet.
http://dearbrothersandsisters.blogspot.com/2011/06/cozy-and-sweet.html
My presence in the world has been a bit sparse lately. It was a long winter that had a heavier than usual affect on me. But, spring is finally in full swing, and the sun is out. I couldn't help but steal a few bunches of lilacs from a bush in my building's courtyard to bring a bit of that lovely sweet scent inside. It's intoxicating. Line have been the perfect outlet for my color-love lately. They're fast, mindless, and easy to giveaway to wanton friends and family. Its good to see youre back! I am makin...

dear brothers and sisters: Purl
http://dearbrothersandsisters.blogspot.com/2012/01/purl.html
This weekend, I fell in love. Purl is her name, adorable is her game. She was found by a friend. All alone out in the cold, but she lives with us now and is showered with love, food, and warmth. She's a wee month old, and I'm pretty excited to watch her grow. (Though, I wouldn't mind it one bit if she stayed this tiny forever.). But she's a tough little girl, and has adapted well to life with a knitter. I found her this morning curled up in one of my knitting baskets, her head nestled into some yarn.
